Didn’t see anyone picketing in my area yesterday (East TN). Probably the same today. I guess the contract is only important M-F…..LOL.
Heard through the grapevine that a lot of them won’t picket anyway. They don’t care about the strike pay. They’ll just sit at home and reap the rewards. That ought to give you some insight into how overpaid they are today.
If the SE gets nearly the same as D9, that 14.25% pay increase means group 1 craft titles in the SE will be at $98,000-$99,000 annually by 2028 (with zero OT). FYI, basically all craft technician titles outside of Wire tech are group 1.
That’s rapping the door at $100k/yr. I mean seriously, what are these clowns mad about?
Yes sir you are so much better than we are your holiness and you are correct sir with the pay , just a few hours of OT a week and we are pretty close to second level pay , but guess what ? We are not fired at will, we have lower insurance premiums, our insurance continues when we retire , we still have a pension with yearly increases, lot of us home garage or for the most part work in the same town where we live. So yes thank you to our bargaining “clowns” for fighting for us. How far do you have to drive to get to your “hub” ? just to work in your overcrowded cattle coral. So bite me and I hope you make it through the next round of layoffs in your “oh so very important title “ you have. Kinda sounds like your holiness needs a clown bargaining for him ? Just saying sounds like the clowns have it a little bit better than you do you big important man.
Wow you lit that guy up so bad he left the post, awesome response to an obviously very jealous crybaby ! Good job keep ripping those hillbilly managers from east Tn. apart.
This little ULP stoppage will be done and behind us by Wednesday.
For those saying that there is no one on the picket line, consider this. True, most of us don't need the strike fund money, we saw this coming and we saved. Additionally we do not need the public support.
Just as you want to send John Stankey a message by being absent in the town hall meetings and webcast, we too will send a message by being absent.
Guess which one of these actions will help get "leadership's" mind right.
Managers, stay safe out there on your CP assignments. We should be back shortly after, the company is ruled in violation of bargaining in good faith. Don’t forget the “ask yourself“ ten questions if, you are unsure what to do. The union didn’t create this so, remember where to place your frustration.
"My education and skills afford me the RIGHT to not perform manual labor."
So why all the whining and crying from loser managers about RTO? Education and skills not there to get a different job?
“Very true. Also true that many employees took advantage of opportunities in self improvement and professional growth. It's called personal awareness and responsibility. Garbage collection is a necessity. I don't have to be the one doing it. You and I made different decisions.”
Absolutely and power to you for stepping up. My comment was not about that. It’s the constantly calling union members lazy that I commented on. I don’t think you read my post.

I was told to work from home if there’s picket lines at my location. Start it up.
Correction Mr. Socialist union slug….Its not that I’m unwilling, it’s because I choose not to. My education and skills afford me the RIGHT to not perform manual labor.
If your level of experience, skills and education don’t provide you the same opportunity then it’s not my fault you’re stuck up on a pole in the hot sun or sitting in a nasty manhole out in the street. Very few people performing manual labor type jobs outside are doing it by sheer choice. It’s almost always by circumstance. If you don’t like doing that work, go enhance your technical and soft skills and move into a different profession. The choice is your’s.

“I’m so sick of people that don’t even leave the house calling the guy hanging from a pole or pumping down a manhole in traffic lazy. It’s so stinking hot most of you would just quit or fake sick. Just stop with your lies about union folks. We have to do the work you aren’t willing to.”
The techs should get respect. I’m referring to the slobs who sit in the office and spend more time finding ways to get approved for FMLA or deciding what they want for lunch than they work.

Most of them are too fat to walk a picket line or they need to be on the phone with their baby daddy.

Too funny. Yep. Many of these folks haven’t put in a full days work in decades.
