Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Interesting

Tell me I’m wrong. Only management mostly is moving to Dallas and the other locations. Craft/union employees are not. The C Suite is refusing to negotiate with the union and analysts are predicting that 2025 will be T’s worst year for layoffs. It’s also been stated that union employees will only receive 90 days of severance now instead of year. So what is everybody planning? Are you retiring, forgoing the severance and jumping ship or holding on thinking it won’t happen to you?

I am exhausted from doing 50 other people’s jobs. The best that were here are now gone and i have no idea how they keep the ones that do not lift a finger meanwhile im drowning. Think i may wear my floaties to work Monday as my cry for help. It won’t help bc no one cares anymore but at least it will make me laugh.

“will be T’s worst year for layoffs.”

I have heard the same rumor/ rumors since 1985, still here.

Stop worrying about something you have no control over, have you noticed that people avoid you? It’s because you are a miserable person and try to drag everyone around you into your black hole of misery. Go to church and surround yourself with joy and happiness and positive people, it will make a huge difference.

I'm staying as hard as I can, because I have no skills and most likely they will lay someone else off because I moved to Atlanta. I take 2 hour lunch breaks with coworkers because it chews up the clock. I'm also the lady that plays her tmobile ring tone while others are talking on their calls. also left skid marks in about 20% of the northpoint chairs. 40% is my 2024 roadmap goal

I’m fascinated by people who still believe a company like ATT is paying people who don’t work. Your perception is not reality. This company believes in only bones with no excess fat. Your inflated ego has you believing you’re the only one doing anything smh.

This post is poorly written and is full of inaccuracies.

Analysts predict 2025 will be our worst year of layoffs? Really? What analysts? lol

Someone stated your severance will be cut to 90 days? Who gives a cr-p what anyone states. It’s either true or false. Guess which one? It’s false you ta-d.

If you don’t physically touch the plant or physically interact with customers, ie.. equipment, facilities, store, etc. then going forward, you can always expect reorg, relocation, layoff or position movement overseas. “No one is safe” and “Human Capital”. Exceptions, are the untouchables near or at the top

"It’s also been stated that union employees will only receive 90 days of severance now instead of year."

The tentative agreement in the West limits severance at 120 weeks. Lmao. I work in the MW and its 88 weeks. Lol.
