Hey guys I got an Exceeds on my mid year review. Is this a good sign?

Lol 😆
Nice troll job. A great F-U-C-K the system posting.
We have the meets.
If the performance review system itself is a joke, does Exceeds mean that you are the butt of the joke?
Everyone has a number on their back. It’s only a matter of time.
Your manager wont be aware of your upcoming layoff until 24 hours before. So don't count this as a win yet.
Exceeds = Stupidity
It means your working hard at a job that your going to lose. It's not a good sign for you(as in your IQ).
I'm purposely barely passing on all of my metrics. There's no point in working hard for a company that's going to lay me off. I would consider this common sense.
It’s a bad sign that someone that asked such a stupid question is exceeding their peers.
"Not a good sign. Then they have to give a raise based on that. Good luck with that."
What? Utter BS. That is absolutely NOT how it works,
I got a Meets but was expecting IM. Kinda surprised tbh.
I received meets repeatedly and exceeds. The year I got laid off (October 2023) I had previously an exceeds. They laid off based on a math calculation (oldest/youngest and worked their way in like an average). Others on my team didn't meet but that didn't matter. It was all an age calculate/average. They did me a favor. Doing just fine.
Not really the end of year is wha counts, they can still pull the rug out and lower it for yea end.
Coworker got an exceeds, was promoted and then laid off a couple weeks later.
Your boss and a level or two up are operating BAU, but those above them don’t care about performance. They are looking to cut wherever they can.
Well I got an inconsistently meets for a role I was forced into and I have only been in for 5 months. It's all BS.
Fun fact. Multiple people I know got exceeds at mid year last year but were lowered to meets at year end. They dangle that meat in front of you only to take it away a few months later citing a curve system or other bs.
Not a good sign. Then they have to give a raise based on that. Good luck with that.
It was likely a clerical error, garbled transmission, etc.
Your revised review will be along shortly.
