Lately a lot of folks in audit are leaving especially at the AIC level and not giving two weeks notice. What happens if you do not give two weeks notice? Are you automatically not eligible for rehire?

Another bites the dust. Between Denver closing, AICs jumping ship, undeveloped staff and SAMs that have no idea what is required day to day for the audit, there are not going to be audits.
If a companies hr policies don’t require you to turn in a 2 week notice I don’t think they could put that if the reason is the person didn’t give a 2 week notice
To the folks interpreting this incorrectly, "eligible for rehire" the question asked by future employers. If the answer's no, you can assume it's a bit like receiving a negative reference. It has nothing to do with a person wanting to return to their old job.
It depends on the department. My group does not accept a 2 week notice due to sensitive data access. You are cut off from system access the day of notice, typically allowed to use your accrued PTO, then you are done.
WF doesn’t have a requirement that you need to provide a 2 week when resigning.
Audit does not walk people. People have worked a full two weeks going to regulators and other banks.
The Chief Audit Director over COO may have been walked. One late email recently she is no longer employed here.

There are a lot of roles where if you give notice you are shown the door that day and paid for the two weeks.
Unless you are moving to I&P, does it matter if you can be rehired? They're shutting it down folks.

I'm not HR expert, but my assumption is if you just walk out you probably aren't going to be eligible for rehire. Why do you ask? Did you walk out and having regrets?
