Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

United Kingdom heard a gossip

Is there any plans of shut downs in place in the UK? Big companies and manufacturing places are going to short their employees but how far the Honeywell can go? Companies are making a big step move to Europe to cut taxes and travel expenses. Is anyone knows something ? What areas? TIA

I have heard that the reason management have recently left the Poole site is they know the plans to close and relocate to Europe. City tech in the same predicament. What a mess and the loss of many good folks.

@1fye+1tkvbNjg They lease Honeywell House on a contract until 2030 I believe but are currently advertising floors for sub lease, so not completely gone yet but it is essentially being phased out.

This post is 15 years too late. Honeywell have always offshored business to when the labour market is lowest cost. More often than not to their detriment.

honeywell chases government money which is currently flowing to create new arms manufacturing in places like poland. if there is no incentive to keep a business then there is no business. has nothing to do with travel. government investment and cheap labour.
do you think honeywell competes in the market based on being the best or cheapest product?
