I don't need to be in the office to be productive. I'm a principal project engineer with over 20 years of experience. The quiet of my home office is where the work really gets done. Since COVID, I've never been more productive than while working remote. Pi$$ poor management and their greed has made Honeywell a shell of its former self.

So it is very obvious to everyone in the office that the person coming to office all 5 days a week is on PIP, unless you are new ? The disgusting leadership of honeywell already behaves to poorly and inhumanely with people on PIP (who are excellent employees but put on PIP due to politics) and now this new rule. I just don't know how the senior leaders in this company believe that they can get most out of their people by instilling more fear and threat every now and then. God help this company.

@5yog+1te1smjo -- which office would that be? i am working two programs right now and neither are in my time zone. judging by the children on the calls with bangalore they arent in the office either.
you want people in the office? fine but that means puerto rico, mexicali, hyderabad, chenai, all need to stand alone.
i will work in the office but then i wont work at home.

Post ID: @5yog+1te1smjo NO..........greed and accountants running an engineering company ki-led Honeywell. Just like GE and Boeing.
The laziness is just a consequence of that, the talent is gone and been replaced by lowest quality workforce. Cheap box tickers. At home or in the office, makes no difference.

If your role does not require travel… REQUIRE…… you should be seated in an office. Marketing, Engineering, Finance, etc. get your @$$es into your site and actually work. Be honest, Your not getting anything completed sitting at home

The lazy culture continues to erode a once wonderful organization.

Got the memo and understood the manager of those people also had to be in the office with them.

Culture of punishment, fear, and favoritism is alive and well. Honeywell is abusive. This is a huge green-light for management to ramp up the favoritism. Feel bad for the people management doesn't like.

I agree that all staff with reports should be in the office every single day that their reports are in, no excuses.

so what happens if someone notices a bias in the people working on fridays every week? will there be new profiles to ensure exactly xx% (and no more) of each diversity classification are in outer L block? what does it mean if all people working fridays are new hires and caucasian males over 50?
maybe they will start generating random shift assignments mandating which days in the office for everyone on a random rotation.. but if they do will those people still be exempt employees?
good luck HR.

In that case it should be absolutely mandatory that all Directors and Managers be on site all week too.

An ill thought out punitive measure. HR have lost the plot with this one. It’s difficult to see what this is meant to achieve- except humiliate the employee on the PIP.

Getting people into the office is easy. Ban cross site charging and force projects to be collocated.
I wonder where I heard that ? Oh yeah every townhall five years ago.. remember the 80% rule?
except it failed because we can’t hire enough people to work any program at any site including Bangalore.

So what happens when a new hire or lower block employee is in a different office than their boss is? Does that mean someone else has to come in 5 days a week to “mentor” them? Sounds like punishment to that mentor

Official change is new hires must work all on site for 3 months. All pip must work fully on site until pip completed. Directs other wise unaffected and remain on 3/5.

So if you are a under performer/bullied employee or a new employee then coming to the office on the two days that no one else is there is going to help. Great logic.

The FWA and HWA USA Standard Policies in HR Direct were updated when I looked last week.

New hires through 3 months
Anyone 3,6,7,8,9 last annual review.

Remember that when you hear "it was just your turn".

Accurate.
Oh and the “mentor” of that poor outer block person is also given the opportunity to be in the office full time.
I just declined a request to mentor someone. Totally was not thinking about that…

There was a email sent out to people leaders, and my manager let us know. It’s based on your 9 block rating and newness.

I’m in IA and have been aware of this for a couple of weeks. An email was sent out in June 19th notifying everyone of the change (Update to U.S. Hybrid Working Arrangements).
