We see now the company sycophants and the paid trolls are fully engaged. We see the "down vote" army is engaged. Why is this? Must be striking a nerve with "leadership".
In the following days expect to see more posts from trolls that claim to be "Union slugs, etc".
I assure you as a "Union Slug" we can do nothing to expedite your divestiture from AT&T. That task alone belongs to good people you work for.

layoff.com does not need create drama to drive traffic. AT&T will do what is needed."
nah there certainly are bots working this site to increase engagement and ad revenue. The fact my previous responses were removed so quick tells me I hit a nerve.
You can tell this is the same goof that constantly writes just to use the word “sycophant “ every chance they can.

That would be because there exists sycophants that continually attempt to make excuses for "leadership". Really, at what point do we ask "leadership" to answer for their missteps. T mobile, Direct TV, Warner Media.
Would a "goof" ask why AT&T has over 130 Billion dollars in debt that needed not to happen if AT&T had competent leadership.
“How many of those have been with the company 15 or 20 years and are with striking distance of MR75?”
MR75 no longer exists.
“How many have spent decades making the sacrifices of missing birthdays, kids games and concerts to make sure the customer is taken care of "for the good of the company"?”
Almost no one.

I assure you MR 75 exists. May not for you. I have it. You can throw shade on me or direct your focus on the company. Trying to tear me down will do nothing to improve your lot in life.

Whatever
"why would you want to continue to work for a company you feel is so horrible?"
How many of those have been with the company 15 or 20 years and are with striking distance of MR75? How many have spent decades making the sacrifices of missing birthdays, kids games and concerts to make sure the customer is taken care of "for the good of the company"? In other words, those employees have shown pride and dedication to a company that now is saying "You all cost too much and the C-Suite isn't getting paid enough for terrible decisions that we expect you to fix."
Of those employees, I think there are 2 types sticking around (or trying anyway). 1) those that are just trying to hang on until they qualify for retirement. And 2) those that really want to see a management change and the company actually be someplace they can recommend as a good place to work again.
I've been with the company almost 20 years. I've worked with a lot of really great people and great managers. I've also worked with many that prove the point that you just don't have to work that hard to shine at AT&T. And the vast number of directors and above I've worked for have generally been cr-p. They don't care about their people and they can't stand up for the employees to their chain of command for anything. Nothing but weak butt-kissers.
I've stayed because, for a long time, I was able to work remote (because my whole team was somewhere else), the people I worked with, and a decent salary and bonus. Unfortunately, RTO has greatly reduced my remote work (even though no one I work with is local), my team is now down to 3 people, but we cover a bunch of apps and I'm the only one taking care of multiple, so I don't really even work with a team. I have a great manager, but he's in a non-hub location and getting sent packing because he doesn't want to live somewhere else. So now we're down to a decent salary and bonus... and less than a year to MR75. Yes, I can look for something else. But I'd rather see AT&T flourish again and stay a few more years. I can even put up with RTO if we could get rid of the id--ts in the C-Suite.
So yes I'm complaining about Stankey and his band of misfits, and no I'm not leaving (yet).
After watching my health care benefits disappear and the deductibles increase, I know the union is working hard for me. lol!! Dread seeing the new penalty they going to place on my working spouse in Jan.

Well if you don't like it, seek out a management position. I hear they have really good benefits..
OP here. No illusion of trying an "uprising". Just trying to shake the tree to see what monkeys fall out.
I have to say, many of you did not disappoint.
Thank you for playing.
"Too funny. Just what my beer needed"
IKR. When the workload gets hectic on our team and the slackers can't carry their weight, someone will invariably quip, At least they aren't Union.
Bow-wow-wow.
“We are going to take back AT&T”
The people here aren’t capable of taking their heads out of their backsides.
We are going to take back AT&T.
"Yet another character thinking they are leading an uprising. What does that make, 2,742 uprisings so far this year? So many choices. Which one should I join?"
Too funny. Just what my beer needed.
Keep up the pressure here. We got leadership running scared.
Yeah, this post doesn't deliver. I don't think leadership cares about this board.
I’m not having fun anymore guys.
:(
OP says they are striking a nerve with leadership

“ I've enjoyed a range of 9 assignments during my 32 years with AT&T, and I've encountered only a handful of individuals with attitudes as poor as those on display here.”
Amen. Similar situation here. Most people with whom I have had the pleasure of working actually like their jobs. I believe that the doom and gloom that one encounters on this forum is spewed by a relatively small number of malcontents. It is unfortunate that they are so unhappy. As the saying goes, “misery loves company.” By no means are these people the majority, despite what they think.
I've enjoyed a range of 9 assignments during my 32 years with AT&T, and I've encountered only a handful of individuals with attitudes as poor as those on display here. I believe most of those left on their own. 2 of my assignments were in Craft, and I served a stint as a Steward. I recall we wanted public support through the duration of our contracts so that we could count on that support during negotiations. Speaking out of turn on a public forum was in extremely poor taste. At that time we wanted the public to appreciate the value we brought, and did not try to elevate ourselves by bashing the company. We had pride in our accomplishments. What has changed? It is not uncommon to disagree with the direction taken by Leadership, but why would you want to continue to work for a company you feel is so horrible? Doesn't your family deserve the best you can provide? Take it elsewhere if you truly believe you have a marketable skill. Bashing the company only shows the public that a low level malcontent with no other voice in corporate operations is unhappy. It carries no weight.
The first mistake is to take a side.
The second mistake is to think it's real.
the third mistake is to "care".
We need more down votes! Come on, we know you are out there, ready to refresh that browser cache. If you down vote enough, maybe Stankey will keep you on the payroll.
No he will not...
you're confusing actual employees or trolls with thelayoff.com bots that vote down topics or comment in order to keep page engagement stats up
