The resistance to RTO is here to stay.

| Lots of ATS - everyone except upper management knows it’s bullsh-t and could honestly care less.

| Frankly, they can keep the bonus if I can work from home. I could care less at this point.

It's "couldn't care less", because if you "could care less" you would.

Maybe AT&T should surplus you clowns.

There is no regulation on RTO. Some groups have to be in 5 days and others do not follow the same rules.

Heard that a certain AVP is not pushing for RTO since he does not come into office all the time....

Lead by example.

agreed with former posters. ATS here. boss tells me to make the report happy however means necessary. I'm told specifically, that no one cares about how long I'm in the office and to always blame it on family needs. family first! so if you gotta rush home to pick up your kid, then state that and then go do what you need to do. ATT won't ever contest the needs of your family, supposedly. ATT doesn't seem to be too sympathetic about sick parents or grandparents or friends. spouses or kid problems only will get you a pass. Nothing mental. Usually must be school suddenly let out, or a broken leg or heart attack or stroke or bleeding out for any ATT sympathy that could give you a pass. Most ATT leadership levels are sick of hearing about Covid, so don't bring it up anymore. Its just a virus and you might die, or you can't breathe.

hope those tips help you all out. :)

RTO is effectively a pay-cut anyways, commutes are expensive and a waste of time.
If they’re going to cut your bonus based off days in office or whatever then so be it, but this threat loomed last year and I didn’t go in, still got full bonus.

I have been going in off and on, but coffee badging. No one has said anything to me and got connection awards I’d think if it was an issue it would have come up at least once.

Some people are meeting the mandates and going in 3 days for 4-6 hours, and some aren’t - we haven’t heard any news from anyone about enforcement except in the instances of people badging for others that did get fired.

Our directors and leads do actively encourage just going in, getting your badge, and leaving. No one cares about who is in office or not, it’s only about getting the mark on the report - we usually have much bigger things to worry about than making Stankeys silly report look nice.

We all meet on MS teams anyways even when some are in the office, so there really is no point.

Yes I’m ATS under Ward (Networking), not making it up.

“Not a single person in ATS is following the rules. Even leadership is still working from home daily. lol”

You don’t know ‘every single person’ in ATS.
And for all you know these posters claiming to coffee badge don’t work in ATS or even T … I’m in ATS and my team and those in the office with me report as required, and review attendance every 2 weeks with our supervisor.

The directors and AD’s have been ‘informed’ their own bonuses will be affected by their team’s reporting. So if your AD or Director is actively subverting the corp policies , not only are they setting you up for a ‘bonus cut’ , they are also setting themselves up for one.

Buy hey- you do you.

The badge swiping is a database. Everytime you swipe, the record of who, when and where is now recorded.
If AT&T cannot even code a simple way to automatically deal with who doesn't show up, then they deserve all that's coming..
Because you know that RTO was done for that very reason, to cull the herd.
And once again, they failed to execute on their own plan.

People are being walked out for coffee badging, going to other locations etc. those reports know where you are and for how long. My friend was walked out even though his boss said he could go to another location. You will get caught.

“I do not know where you folks work as our Management in ATS is taking RTO very very seriously and we heard folks have already been laid off for not showing up. TRUTH”

Also, it’s called morale, Stankey has turned management against him at every level. I’ve had L4’s and L5’s talking sh-t to me about how RTO is a joke, this is the worst this company has ever been, everyone fu--ing hates the Stank etc etc…some simps will always tow the corporate line, but lots of people who know they have other options are just biding their time for the economy to improve and don’t care about advancing here. They just want a paycheck til they can jump ship.

That’s also the position I’m in, as soon as the economy picks back up, I’m out - I just want T and Stank to pay for it in the meantime.

I’m not moving cross country or bending over backwards for this joke of a company.

Whatever, they’re gonna lay everyone off anyways so who cares.
I don’t go in, get severance and find another job - thanks for paying me to leave the sinking ship, appreciate it.

Regardless, I feel bad for you, sounds like you’re in a sh---y org, are you a developer?

There’s a special place in he-l for people who post unironically on LinkedIn simping for their sh---y company.
I hate that networking has become that and it’s almost a requirement now to lean into it and “pretend” to be stoked about the TPS reports or whatever.
I just literally can’t put on a face and be that much of a shill it makes me want to throw up.

I just want to make cool software, write code, and be left the fu-k alone.

“HR is the enemy of enemies.”

Ain’t that the truth.
Bunch of business and management major nobodies who get tasked with babysitting the people who actually get sh-t done.

Social butterfly’s with nothing better to do than go on tik-tok and make videos about “Gen-Z boss in a miniskirt”

I’m not anti-gen-z either by any means, but god I hate non-technical management types.

Nope. Not in my org. I don't even look at the report for my org anymore.

Have they though?
I still got my bonus. My director has been actively telling us to just coffee badge if we can’t sit in the office and it affects our productivity. They care about getting stuff done, not where you sit while you do it.

Frankly, they can keep the bonus if I can work from home. I could care less at this point.

No one I know has gotten in any trouble for RTO.

ATS org here. My AVP feeds us ways to beat HR. According to him, HR is the enemy of enemies. You wouldn’t believe the crazy stuff he tells me on skip levels. To date, he’s shared how to coffee badge, getting apartment leases or faking your address with someone living in the area. He told us all to accept the move notice because he thinks HR won’t dive into the data deep enough.

To really solve this - HR will need to compare network with badge ins, with home address, with designated address, COU location, with how long you are on the network - all at the same time while threatening the jobs of all spans of control to host 3 meetings per day with cameras all on.

So far, HR is 2/3 of the way there, but ATS is loaded with so much faked data that they will never track us all down. Lol

I heard an employee talking about how they are going to start cracking down on people who badge in and leave. It’s crazy to see someone arrive at 5:55am get out their car swipe their badge and get back in their car and leave. Those are the ones that are messing it up for all.

“Which org/BU isn’t showing up 3 days? My supervisor is very particular - checks every week to ensure we are in compliancy & posts/emails when folks haven’t met the 3 day requirement. We have to respond & document the reasons why we didn’t show up (eg. Vacation, sick, etc)”

Lots of ATS - everyone except upper management knows it’s bullsh-t and could honestly care less.

I’m not usually going in 3 days a week since this started, no one has said a word to me. Still coffee badge, got connection awards.

RTO is bs and everyone knows it, it’s just a layoff exercise.
