To the OP, why will the Tatyana trigger management that is crying about RTO? I’m just curious what that has to do with the contract.

Nobody is breathing a sigh of relief.

It was posted on here multiple times that a D9 TA would no doubt be announced near or on the expiration of the SE contract. TA details will most likely be posted tomorrow. It’ll take the locals 2 weeks to communicate it and another 2 weeks for voting. It’ll probably be voted down once for no reason because union slugs are dumm and then they’ll rinse and repeat again and bingo! Ratified and life goes on.

All the details were worked out weeks if not months prior. Just posturing nonsense by the union at this point.

They were crying about RTO long before this tentative settlement.

Where’s this money coming from for the proposed pay increase? There are surpluses all across the company to ‘save’ money… I truly hope this strike doesn’t end up sc--wing all union staff. Best of luck all

“ word is it will trigger everyone in management crying about RTO.”

What it will trigger is all you union slugs to pay more for health insurance, fewer benefits, and no job security….that’s what managers in the office will be laughing at 😂
Gonna have to leave moms basement during work hours Carl.

"You know a lot of the contingency team is breathing a sigh of relief right now. Stankey was about to conscript them to manually labor."

Lol no chance at all. The contingency team did not study or learn a thing. Will refuse to do a job they cannot safely do. Its a paid vacation to (insert city here).

And while they cant do this manual labor you brag about, you cant do the math, accounting, finance, marketing, sales, operations, strategy, analytocs, tech dev, etc the L2s do that also keeps this company running. And we are losing our jobs every friday!!!

I support your fight, but shut tf up about our fight and what we go through. And omg we cant do your job....but i could be trained to over time. No way you could do mine.

Just....stop with that. Go on strike. I want my free miles, hotel points, free meals, while not doing my real job for a couple days.

“The reality is, nobody cares. To put it bluntly, 99% of management doesn't even know you exist, let alone actively follow the news about the D9 contract.”

I disagree, plenty of the contingency team had a keen interest in the contract and most managers know all about the contract negotiations, just not to the extent of individual issues.

Played just like last contract, voting NO!

Attention seeking is a narcissistic trait often associated with inferiority complex.

The reality is, nobody cares. To put it bluntly, 99% of management doesn't even know you exist, let alone actively follow the news about the D9 contract.

All we care about is not having to drag our a-s onto a plane for CP.

What the union bargains for is still way better than mid to lower management. All management gets now, is a bend over and take it from pajama Stankey and the c-suite or told to quit. Don’t forget to live your destination! Stankey is living his, he is in Paris right now.

D3 went out on an unfair labor practice work stoppage last contract, after 2 weeks of contract expiration. A tentative agreement was forthcoming immediately, there after. Is it too much to ask for D9 to do the same or at least wait and join with D3. They still may, this isn’t over yet, a TA isn’t even on the table yet according to the statement.

Same thing every contract union tries to act like they play hardball. Then they lay down and take a cr-ppy contract….no ba--s = no gains!!

You union guys are di-ks on here, but I’m glad for you if you get more money out of the company and stick it to them.
So for that, I’m proud of you and happy for you.

Hold out with D3 and get something better.

I will be voting No and telling the union to go for the moon shot. We have a lot of negotiation power when D3 contract expires Saturday.

What is the bargaining team getting by following the same script, like last time? Makes one wonder! They wait right until D3 contract is about to expire then miraculously, a tentative agreement appears. How about holding the companies feet to the fire for bargaining in bad faith way beyond the contract expiration and get some real gains, it pizzes me off!

Folding like a cheap tent, it’s what D9 did last contract but complained when members were moved and wire tech not moved into core.

I’m voting NO if the following conditions aren’t met. Decent wage increase along with some kind of COLA . They also need to be paying the wage increase, after going past the contract expiration. A tentative agreement doesn’t mean a done deal, it has to be voted on. They aren’t there yet.

Yeah, right, keep dreaming! This is not a good time to hold out, with sky high food, energy, rent and insurance prices that liberals are OK with, I don't think so! A strike is not gonna happen, not with the way the economy is that was carelessly crafted by this poor excuse of a presidential administration! You say you want more of the same for 4 more years, just vote for Kameltoes Harris and all your dreams will come true!

This is what the union actually put out:

“ On behalf of the elected Bargaining Committee and CWA District 9 we want to thank you for agreeing to join us Saturday, August 3 as our members mobilize (rally) for a fair contract with AT&T. As of today, the decision was made to CANCEL Saturday's rally because we are close to declaring a tentative agreement. The parties are working through finalizing the last proposals on the table. We sincerely thank you for all the support we received throughout negotiations with AT&T.”

Right when the union gets the leverage of 2 districts they cave. I hope all the districts can get the Cadillac contracts that the west gets.
