Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

LinkedIn vs Stock Price

To read LinkedIn posts from AT&T officers, you’d think we struck gold with the Q2 earnings.

Of course, each AT&T officer has a Social Media agency cultivating their “brand” for approximately $20K per month (for each Officer!!).

So next time your boss asks you to “embrace automation” and “leverage AI”, remember that the officers don’t even bother to use ChatGPT to craft social posts, they pay $20K per month for a 3rd party to use ChatGPT to write LinkedIn posts that no one reads to brag on earnings results, DE&I, and Intern day.

Be better AT&T.

I refuse to be lectured by the common folk. If you were smart; you’d watch, learn, and copy us.

lol, “common folk”. Okay, your highness. News flash: you’re just another anonymous person on this board. No one knows who the heck you are or knows or cares who this “us” you refer to is.

You come across as a naive corporate shill who has no life or self-worth outside of work and inexplicably idolizes the bumbling id--t executives at this joke of a company. No one’s “lecturing” you, just making fun of you, because you deserve it.

If you’re so in love with this company and it’s so-called “vibrant” officers (about one millionth on a list of adjectives I’d use to describe them), then go make a fan page for them and hang out there with your fellow company men, instead of trolling this forum that’s meant for the people getting sc--wed over by them and not willing to worship at their altar like you are, trying to talk all intellectual and business savvy to make yourself feel important. Get bent.

“We worked how for these kinds of benefits and AT&T wouldn’t be where it is without the tireless work of our officers.”

You’re right, we wouldn’t be in third place out of the 3 big telecom companies left in the US…or $120 billion in debt without these talentless officers…racing to the bottom with constant layoffs, no job security, and bottom of the barrel morale.

OP: Log into Accounts Payable, look at “consulting”, say “Huh, what’s this $20K invoice?”, pull the PO and looks at the terms of the agreement and exlaims, “We’re paying $20K per month for some social media firm to post 1 to 2 times a week on LinkedIn for [officer] about what inspires them to lead teams.” PS: More than $20K for Stankey, Arnoldi and Pascale… yikes.

If you were smart; you’d watch, learn, and copy us. Spend your pennies on your LinkedIn brand manager. Maybe you wlll rise up, and see the benefits of the officer ranks if you’re lucky. But probably not.

$20K per officer LinkedIn profile seems like a great price to pay for someone to meticulously cultivate my brand online.

This is too bonkers to be anything but a well-crafted troll.

Yeah, the tireless work of droning on about “EBITDA” and “putting more fiber in the ground” while making boneheaded business decisions and planning for their next town hall variety show. You’re right, we owe it all to those guys.

The success of AT&T depends on the officer team being viewed by the market as effective, vibrant leaders engaged in the mission driven work of advancing the field of telecommunications.

Stop wining.

We worked how for these kinds of benefits and AT&T wouldn’t be where it is without the tireless work of our officers.

You misunderstood, the officers did strike gold. You just didn’t. Officers get bonuses when they lay people off, hit milestones in cash flow, pops, subs, etc. every bonus they take away from employees, improves cash flow, officers get paid.

RE: Success is growing mobile and fiber subscribers. We just have to get rid of legacy business.

......Well, that is not going to happen in California -any time soon.

Earnings per share down. Net profit margin down. Net income down. EPS down. My business degree is from an SEC school, but that doesn’t scream success

Yeah, like you mentioned...though I am active on LinkedIn---I follow exactly 0 (zero) of the T officers, including Stankey.
