So I guess there’s a policy at my office that trash cans in cubicles are landfill only and the janitors don’t take it out for days if there’s any compost in it like food or cups. The only problem is we have flex seating and people throw food in the trash in their cubicle so I’m always stuck next to someone’s trash filled with lunch scraps from days ago. Plus we have to share equipment that never gets cleaned and today both my mouse and keyboard were sticky from god knows what….just another day at the office

Bathrooms are gross too
Be thankful you still have them. Ours got taken away last year, so nobody has individual trash cans anymore.
Wow. I'll say what other people are thinking. Don't be so entitled. If the smell from one or more trash cans is bothering you, take the bag(s) , tie in a knot and deposit in a larger can. Problem solved. We are not all here to serve you.
Agree OP....Neighborhood seating is gross. Spend my time cleaning each morning. Guess it should be part of my performance review!! FHY
You know what would save the company even more money? Just embracing WFH.
Some offices are stripping those cube cans in favor of one main garbage area (I imagine to cut the cost of the janitorial staff. One of my coworkers heard from another peer that they were told no eating or drinking at the desk. Just another day in paradise.
Bummer
This would the company trying to make you miserable so you'll quit.
