Yep, its negotiable. Tell them you won't accept the surplus without bargaining. L3 here.

Just remember HR works only for the benefit of the company. Only serve employees as liability.

Union or management it all comes down to contracts, years of service and Stankey’s latest policy for some. In other-wards, it varies greatly.

You people are funny. Union gets severance according to the contract. Usually 1 to 1/2 years pay. Management gets what they get this week depending on John Stankey's mood.

Don’t take the severance and sue for age discrimination. Tough fight, but some folks win and get a cool million, after 4 years.

HR wouldn’t entertain it but you would certainly entertain them.

Yes, you just have to show them your value to the company and remind them you made communication go.

HR isn’t going to negotiate anything that involves them actually lifting a finger and doing any work. The only time they’ll actually do anything is if means they can either get out of more work or to make an employee’s life miserable.

Check with your state welfare office to see what programs are available.

Yes. I negotiated for 65% of salary for the 7/9 surplus. I’m an L2. Definitely negotiate

The policies are clearly defined, so the answer is absolutely not.

Leg T/CWA union workers have up to 2 years termination pay per our contract as negotiated on our behalf by the union.
