US Congressional letter sent to John Stankey on bargaining

https://cwad9.org/news/att-2024-bargaining-support-letter-congress

Will the letter signed by 20 members of Congress and addressed to Mr. John Stankey, get the negotiations moving? He may tell them, employees are just human capital and if they don’t like it, quit. The members are writing on behalf of their constituents, asking the CEO to bargain in good faith, move towards a timely and fair resolution. They also referenced job losses.

It’s just getting started John, you want to be in the news, just wait!!

“Is that the best you have? that It never made it to his desk or it’s fake. It’s very easily fact checked, open the link in the OP. A child of 10 could figure out it is a real letter and I don’t think anyone is ignorant enough to impersonate then forge 20 Congress members signatures. You must be a fake news journalist or Stankey sycophant. It would be to Stankey’s detriment and if a person messed with the mail, it’s a federal crime. The next place it will show up is at news agencies, if a response isn’t forthcoming soon.”

Read it again Sherlock. I don’t doubt it’s authenticity, I also don’t doubt the ability for anything to get lost once it gets to our mailroom. I also don’t doubt that Stank wouldn’t open it if he did receive it.

Anybody want to take the over under on whether or not this letter made it from the basement mailroom to Stank’s desk without getting lost and if so did Stank even open it?

Fire season has started in the west. Let's see how many union members take callouts and do overtime when the company continues with their BS take backs.

“ Union talks a lot and likes to try and bluff, while management sets up contingencies and calls the Union’s bluff.” Sure, because it’s a regular occurrence to get a Congressional letter, thou doth protest too much!

What contingencies? Emptying the offices of conscripted personal who have only watched videos and read some high level docs on how to do dangerous jobs, good luck with that. I’m sure the public and officials will be pleased to know that an unskilled and inexperienced office staff will be installing and maintaining critical infrastructure. Uh, sorry ma’am, you’ll have to wait on getting that 911 call through, our CEO decided saving a few pennies was worth more than your safety. We can’t fix the issue until labor returns. Sorry, Mr./Mrs. XX We won’t be able to support your political rally communications because we don’t have the necessary personal. On and on it goes, etc, etc..

IMO, The labor team and John Stankey aren’t very good businessmen if, they don’t take this support letter from Congress serious, not smart. They need to bargain in good faith and get these contracts settled soon or it will be bad for business. Who do you think controls the funding for govt. communication contracts, future projects, approves permits and makes federal, state and local laws? Contracts for the DOD, Law enforcement, First-Net, BEAD, Schools, local permits, transport facilities, etc.. again, Not Smart!

Looking at what has happened to the company stock, I can’t really expect anything better from this leadership team but one can always be hopeful. My dividends count on it but if they continue to make poor decisions then, it’s time for me to sell my stock. I won’t be the only one either, stockholders can only take so much incompetence and bad publicity.

Union talks a lot and likes to try and bluff, while management sets up contingencies and calls the Union’s bluff. Sorry, CWA, until you take action and shut things down for a month, no one will be hurting.

Tried to advise the paid Stankey sycophant early on (the one who likes to call bargained employees “union slugs”), that this kind of strategy would happen. There is more to come because, the SE hasn’t weighed in yet, so stay tuned and as always, Tick Tock!!

Mr. Stankey, the days of Union members capitulating are over. We know how to pull the levers of power too and will pull back the curtain to expose you and your complicit BOD. Keep playing your bully game of checkers, we are playing chess. 🤴

How long will the Union wait on a response, before they send this out to news agencies?

The Stinky needs to be arrested. And shown on how pathetic this level of “leadership” is.. he is a bully

All employees can get on board exposing these crooks and what has happened to a once great company. How there hasn’t been in any consequences to leadership including BOD, for their disastrous decisions. Only employees below the c-suite have suffered via, layoffs, relocations, rebadged, contracted out, off-shored jobs, assets sold, companies spin off, benefit reductions or eliminations, pensions sold to an insurance company, etc.
