Any none customer facing people in Oregon and Washington will be gone for almost all roles by 2027 or sooner. The day is coming for everyone not in a customer facing role think retail and direct none phone customer facing.

Don't think they care about replacements anymore. They can always keep hiring at lower pay at other locations that are core. They will use those left at the barn as long as they can but seems like that won't last past the end of this year

The warn notice was for the credit card non fraud team that just got laid off Tuesday. Their notice period ends on the Sept 20 date and that's when they will "officially" be laid off and collect severance. There are still hundreds of people in the building. This article says nothing we didn't already know. Word is that salem and Hillsboro credit card teams will be strung along up to another year because the replacement locations (AZ and TX) are having trouble keeping people after training. Though the barn lease ends in November. So potentially they will be first and salem after they have enough people to handle the call volumes. It is still AHOD (all hands on deck= coaching and team meetings canceled for the day) many days of the week and there are no vto (voluntary time off) opportunities which will be the first sign the end is near. Call center hiring is tricky when people take the job and do the classroom training for a steady paycheck for a few months and then quit as soon as it's time to work. This is seen more predominantly in areas where there are many call centers and you can effectively do this for years before you run out of places to go through training.

We're devolving into a regional, it seems.

The Left aka expensive coast is losing a lot of employers. Stop voting in higher taxes and they may come back. That said, I’m sorry to see historical staff get forced out like this.

So lucky. Sticking around was worth it for them I'm sure. Hopefully Salem will next.

Don't quit. Make them pay. The company owes you.

Hillsboro just bi--h slap Wells Fargo.

So strange that Wells has practically abandoned the West coast.

Exactly. Anyone who knows when the final axe will drop isn't talking, and that article doesn't tell us either way. It's going to close, we just don't know when. Stand strong, occupants of the Barn. You've earned your severance. Don't let the clowns in the ivory tower win by walking away from what you deserve. Severance or death.

The 60 day non working notice from the layoff date of 7/23 ends for those 95 affected on this date.
It's not clear if it's this or of the building will be fully existed by then.
