What does the relocation package look like? is it real? I mean is WFC offering relocation to existing remote/non-hub employees to move to hub? I looked at job posting, all the ones I looked at in Technology don't offer relocation for those open positions.

It’s Real… have seen people being offered it
Wait… are you saying that if you agree to a relocation package, the company does not offer an iron clad guarantee you’ll never be laid off, right sized, off shored, on shored, furloughed or fired!
I'm an adult w/ no kids and they pay me well. I'm willing to relocate and seems like fun actually. Job market is not fantastic and would be happy to take their salary in a different city for a few more years. I doubt they'll offer though.
My friend did and they told him to relocate on the weekend, would not approve any admin time. Totally true. I told him not to move but he did. Nuts.
No way in he-l would I accept a relocate package ... this company is not loyal ! Uproot your life only to get fired or laid off later ... no thanks
We're not talking about relocation as part of a new job offer. That is not going to happen unless you are a C-suite person who can bend the rules and work from wherever the heck they please. The issue is with relocation packages in lieu of displacement and severance for us working stiffs in the rank and file.
I saw it, it’s 8.5 inches wide and 11 inches tall. It has a staple in the upper left corner and a bunch of writing on it
a u-haul, a dolly, and a bottle of advil
Sounds like what would make a couple of women wearing comfortable shoes happy!
+1 to everything xLzH said.
I guess it's possible and I haven't read every new job posting, but I've never seen one that mentions or offers relocation in the posting itself. They say what city or cities the job is available in, that's it. If you don't live there and you apply, it'll come up during the screening if you're willing to move and get yourself there somehow. If you get the offer and you're so perfect for the job, money to make the move becomes a negotiation point. Either actual relocation $, signing bonus, or increased salary. Lol good luck with that.
95% will not be offered a relo package. Don't count on. They'll just be cut and maybe the role will be backfilled in a hub. Or maybe not. If it is, you'll be able to reapply for your old job back, like anyone else off the street.
Relocations are limited and will go to people that the department would like to keep and are willing to spend a few bucks to do so, knowing that few will take them up on it. Even rarer are those that get a exception to stay where they are. Until someday when leadership says enough is enough.
For everyone else if you get the layoff notice, they don't care if they lose you. At that point it's too late for you to offer to move even it's on your own dime.
Most positions WILL NOT PROVIDE RELOCATION PACKAGE now. The premise of letting people go in so called non hub location was "location." So do not expect relocation package as management has explicitly told not to provide relocation package for people who have to move from non hub to hub. Either they move at their own expense or quit or let go with a severance package. Most roles that they post have pre determined candidates. The preference is for internal candidates. If not then the the external candidates they prefer may be a strong referral from collegues and/or prior working relationship. So the hiring manager may speak with the external hire and then post the position for a day or two and then remove it. That being said, do not expect relocation package unless they state it explicitly in the job description. Only 10% of the job postings (if they have difficult getting people locally and is a critical function) are provided with relocation package. And remember that after you move to a hub location at your own expense, there is no guarantee that you may have a job in next 6 months. Everything is fluid at Wells now. With elections coming and all that we are witnessing, hope for the best but plan for the worst.
My coworker in Denver was offered a relocation to Charlotte, she said no
Thanks! The job openings do not offer relocation, the role you are already in maybe deemed as eligible but they tell u where, u can’t pick.
No relo offered in my line of business for non hub/remote. If you choose to relocate it’s at your own cost.
It'l looks like a trap.
If you are willing to relocate to India, maybe.
It looks like you'd be doing the same garbage, but in a different location. It'll be gteat

i dont think anyone remote / non core has been processed yet (offered relo, offered an exception, terminated)
All I know is that you have 30 days to decide after they give the offer, and if you decline it doesn't necessarily mean you will be laid off immediately.
