Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

RTH9585WF

I got this thermostat for $99 from my electric company. Don’t buy it!! (1) unless mine is defective, it has the worst touchscreen ever. Very difficult to select items. (2) Poorly designed. Just because you can put the option to select heating or cooling on a separate tab doesn’t mean you should. What a pain in the a-s. During season changes I have to change this setting often. I updated to anSensi thermostat that has a simple button to change settings.

I got a box full of Honeywell stuff one year as give aways. Cameras , a thermostat, even a fancy gps. All Ended in the trash bin. I couldn’t sell that yellow gps on eBay. No bids. Replaced the thermostats with ecobee.

Anything with a Honeywell badge whether it is made by them or not will be awful.
Sorry you had to learn it this way.
