Mostly dinosaurs in the FTI lost contract. Maybe some managers too if they refuse to answer FAA calls. Everybody needs to put some in the kitty or your fired quick like.

Does anyone know which union is trying to infiltrate Waco and Tulsa? If so, do you have their contact info?

The effect that the ambush style April RIF would have on remaining employees was part of the calculation. The actions taken are consistent with a longer range plan to break up and sell the company.

Do you have any news or rumor about Plano ? What is going on with new building on Richardson. They spend a lot of money for it.

I hear a lot of churn about the future of Camden NJ site. From what I hear and have read, that has a lot of duplicative and/or non-core or un-profitable work. Thoughts?

The L3Harris senior management plan is to sell unprofitable or irrelevant businesses and then sell L3Harris to Raytheon or Boeing. As an idependent company L3Harris won't stand too long.

Word is consolidation of three buildings to one in Rockwall Texas (everything getting squished into the one long building-old comcept headquarters and building across the street go away). Can everything in Rockwall fit in that building? Isn't that where antennas are built or did that get moved to Greenville? Does anyone have anymore information?

If true, the DFW consolidation appears to be starting. I'm sure there is more planned that others have heard or know about.

Chris kubasik wants L3 Harris to be a purely defense business. the only remaining businesses that come to mind that are non-defense would be the handheld radios supply to first responders. With the recent loss of a contract to Motorola, it seems L3 Harris will try to sell off large segments of its communications division Possibly the whole thing. The company made two very large purchases that are going to take years to profit, if at all. Unfavorable interest rates are making paying off this debt cumbersome. It is prudent to assume that employees working in the Communications division may find themselves either employed by others, or out of a job.

Any ideas what businesses they are trying to sell off that aren't "core"?

if the company's bottom line has not improved by the end of the second quarter there will certainly be more divestitures more sell-offs and yes, more layoffs. since L3 Harris cannot generate acceptable profits through selling products, which by the way, are behind schedule and over budget, then the only way Chris Kubasik can satisfy the board of directors is to generate profits through divestitures and layoffs. This most recent round of layoffs, 5% of the company, was intended to reduce the workforce by 10%. hoping, that another 5% would leave on their own thus relieving the company of having to pay severance. Attempts to sell off certain businesses have been met with a lukewarm response. The word is out the assets L3 Harris is trying to sell are not worth the asking price because none of those businesses are making money and no one wants them. Employees that were not laid off, were retained because they have been good little boys and girls and have followed management with blind obedience. There are fewer and fewer jobs out there for those who have left the company. The longer you stay, the less likely it is you will replace the income you will eventually lose anyway.. If you think you were spared being laid off because you were special, get over yourself. You were retained because you are obedient. When your time with L3 Harris eventually ends, you will see familiar faces where you seek work and they will not look kindly upon you.
