They probably needed 4 people in the US and 10 more in India to replace the 10 people who "quit" because of RTO. The 4 US ones will then be laid off as soon as they get the 10 in India.

Given the frequency, magnitude and press that’s been given to T security breaches, why would any CIO trust T / Levelblue with their Cybersecurity wellbeing? That’s rhetorical, they wouldn’t.

There should have been a number of resignations after the scope and depth of the security breach became known.
Guess it makes sense since they finally announced LevelBlue last month. Final stages of transition is getting rid of the previous crew.
