Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Did you know Blue Origin was founded about 18 months before SpaceX?

Until roughly 9 months ago, Bezos had the former Honeywell CEO leading Blue Origin… I found this to be a very odd choice…. This CEO seemed to represent everything wrong with corporate America and he earned his destructive chops right here… he did what he learned at HON, he focused on avoiding failure and not on achieving success. So delays followed…

Anyhoww there were constant delays with the New Glenn rocket and the BE-4 engine — both r now years behind schedule. after all, you can't fail if you don't launch.

Also, to make this more bad, thr new CEO (David Limp), previously oversaw the development of Kindle reader devices.

Jeff Bezos is now complaining to FAA that Space X is making too many launches and that it could impact the environment! Yes, really!
Guess it's quite humiliating when you can't get your blue phallus up after all these years :)

Dr. Smob Bith never was CEO at Honeywell. He was a financial noob and EQ mid-et who destroyed the solid legacy of Honeywell engineering. There was a much rejoicing the day he left the big H for B.O.

Having recently interviewed with Blue Origin, I could smell the vibe of Honeywell Management and HR infection into Blue Origin CORE.

Just like Honeywell, Blue Origin leaders have check with HR before they can make any decision. When we went to college, folks who couldn't do anything went to HR, and now have turned into running major technical company.

Blue Origin should layoff all of its HR, and start fresh. Else Decay is in Order!

@3bdk+1sTD3yKd Equally, if coming on this forum upsets you so much stop complaining and go elsewhere. Not sure why you stalk here, it is just weird.

At least working for SpaceX or any other major company, you'll get stock options and bonuses. With Honeywell, you'll get nothing other than paycheck and maybe a 401K payout if you are there at the end of the year.

I guess it doesn’t matter what company you work for, you will hate it. Because you are a bunch of socialists, that would prefer to have the rich people taxed. Basically, ask the government to steal money from companies & people, to redistribute it.

Stop complaining about the companies you work for. If you don’t like it, find another place to go work.

bezos wants to make money.
elon wants to go to mars.

failures are punished at blue origin
failures are celebrated at spacex.

it really isnt more complicated than that.
today was another mission failure for spacex... do you see anyone predicting doom?
nope.. just another 100M step. pass the champange?
imagine if the starliner had an uncontrolled descent ?

Honeywell is on a cliff. There are serious problems internally. The financials are far, far from what they seem. The future...... the company will be broken up in 2027.

That seems to describe Honeywell in a nutshell. Afraid to make a move in case it fails. Unwilling to trust in the people to make it work. What's it going to be like moving forward?
