With union or without union, Charlie will continue to downsize.
Looks like Charlie’s bootlickers found this post lol. Sane as ever.
keep upvoting and thanking yourself, Qt@rd 😂
We don't want to bring back Soviet Union here.
People huff ether too, do you question whether air is better? People do stupid things all the time.
If unions are that terrible, WF must be worse than some team members decide to unionize against the company's wishes.
"People have nothing to lose by seeing what a union can offer them, but too many are still parroting their dads, cable news opinion hosts, etc that say "Unions are bad!" without ever checking to see if it's actually true."
Yeah, well, some of us here had dealings with unions in a past life. And it wasn't pretty.
I'd much rather be paid less and post paranoid vitriol about how we're all going to be outsourced and displaced and just patiently wait for that to happen, tyvm
Ok, but Shart will be downsizing us, union or not, so why pay them for the privilege?
And here's the lazy thought of it. Thousands of people can make more than $80k, but that also means none of those people will be making $100k because they are all the same. For me, I'd rather have the ability to make more than the average joe
Let me help you understand.
A union worker pays dues (i.e. 'gives money to other rich people' using your terms) in exchange for a net improvement in their situation.
For example, a worker making 80k a year without a union can make more than that even with union dues being paid. And that's just salary. Unions also help with benefits, including retirement benefits beyond a simple 401k match.
Working conditions can also be improved.
As of now, slightly over half of states have right to work laws. If you don't want to join the union, you don't have to. Most states Wells has campuses (except MN, CA, NY) in are right-to-work states.
People have nothing to lose by seeing what a union can offer them, but too many are still parroting their dads, cable news opinion hosts, etc that say "Unions are bad!" without ever checking to see if it's actually true. This is an example of what people mean when they say that a lot of people vote against their own interests.
Historically, unions have represented hourly workers, but there's no reason that they can't also represent skilled, exempt roles too.
I will never understand why people who complain about rich and powerful executives react to that by giving up their power to other rich and powerful people, a.k.a, unions.
Unions are for the lazy people who don't want to control their own destiny in the workforce.
HR ge----o has already infiltrated the union. Signup and you automatically go on a "list" and surveillance of your corporate devices increases dramatically (they will eavesdrop on you from time to time).
I like the idea of unionizing just to F with Shart, but he's going to downsize us either way.
Not worth it.
