Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T and Verizon are DOWN: Customers in multiple states report outage impacting 911 calls

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-13494825/AT-T-outage-impacting-911-calls.html#
Do you know what happens when there is a network hack at AT&T ?, they stop issuing ip addresses to new devices on their network. And then if you are on the network and you disconnect, then you can't reconnect.
Keep this in mind when these frequent issues arise.
AT&T was warned about this previously but chose to disregard it. And now everybody affiliated has been pawned. This is probably another cut fiber but who knows

I love how as a dealer, I have to find out from customers and the news that there's an outage. Not a mass email or mass text so we know how to respond to customers.

I can see it now, all at&t employees will report to the office tomorrow with a paper bag over their head.

It would be so ATT to cancel layoffs for this after getting us excited about cutting us loose. I hope this outage resolves soon.

That's what happens when you get rid of employees who cared and create a toxic work environment

AT&T network is down; looks like AT&T’s criminal convicted vendor, Ericsson, Inc. is at it again. When will AT&T learn that when you do business with a criminal, you get sc--wed?

This is the "new normal" at at&t. Weekly outages, never a clear cut reason for the outage. Send all employees to a week long "ask yourself" remedial training. Let's go Jeremy Legg! You dirty dog!

FCC should fine the Sh-t out of T. Demand they replace their leadership, or lack thereof.

"The carriers are working as quickly as possible to diagnose and resolve the issue," AT&T said.

The company later said that it erroneously sent out a "wireless impact notification" to 9-1-1 call centers during the outage.

"Nationwide 9-1-1 Services are operating normally at this time and our customers are not affected," AT&T said in a statement around 5:20 p.m. ET.

The Federal Communications Commission said in a post on X that it was "aware of reports that consumers in multiple states are unable to make wireless calls and we are currently investigating."

For the big outage in February, Damabe downplayed it internally.

AT&T blamed issues on a 'software glitch' and told customers who were impacted that they would receive a $5 credit to their next bill

The above was what they said publicly but Sambar played it down internally to employees. He said he spoke to the person who made the mistake was sorry.
He didn’t want to discuss implications — I guess he thought we in the internal audience were too d-mb to understand the impacts.
Wonder what he will say this time…

Meanwhile, business units working hard on more reductions. SMH… none of this makes sense. Is it fewer employees? Less qualified employees or maybe intentional/sabatage?

Anyone know?
