Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

MGO Shindig

Anyone on this board in Dallas for the pep rally? How much BS do you think will be spewed over the next few days. From the looks and f the hotel the amount of money spent on this looks insane

Glad to be done. Very slick production but hard to buy into this with all the plain layoffs, RTO layoffs etc. Would like to be optimistic that things will get better but who knows.

This all seems a little too "cloak and dagger" to me. What are they hiding?

  1. How much caffeine does Kellyn drink every day?
  2. Why does it seem like literally everything done in the last year goes against everything said in the slick presentation? We’re getting more tasks, less resources and more BS all the damn time.

"It just started and it goes until Wednesday. Initial vibe is as a little culty."

was thinking the same thing. I think they are going to make us drink grape koolaid on the last day.

For any employee that feels deflated and left out, Stankey is planning a corporate-wide pizza party for all employees. This is an employee appreciation event, pizza will be supplied by local (to your location) excellent pizza parlors, with plates, cups, ice, and veggie trays supplied by local management team. Please plan to participate as this will also serve as a collaboration event.

Did anyone attend who can share how it went? To spend so much money when so many are losing by jobs sounds like a bad move.

What was the outcome of the event? Stankey and execs gloating that they still have high paying jobs, despite bad decisions that put T in debt and they are saved by 10s of thousands of average workers losing their jobs to help them stay afloat to continue with multi-million dollar unearned, undeserved wages?

“Stop being jealous you weren’t invited.”

I literally could not think of a worse way to spend my week than being fed corpo speak and misinformation by paid actors feigning enthusiasm about something as lame as marketing.

So great to waste three-four days for this. Even better that it looks like they are spending high six figures on this minimum right after laying off a sh-t ton of people.

“A pep rally?? For what exactly??”

Low morale, a feeble attempt to boost how bad people are feeling about the company via propaganda.

cannot believe the amount of time and money spent on this pointless dog and pony show, meanwhile L2s can’t do their jobs effectively because all their peers have been laid off
