Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Remote wireless marketing/product management positions

Are these positions still safe from layoff and relocation requirements? It appears a number of non-hub locations are quite safe. Is this true and is this a long-term strategy?

If you’re not in a hub, I would never consider your position safe. If you’re not specifically located in DLS or ATL I wouldn’t call you safe, either.

No marketing jobs don't last long, the top talent on that side of the business has either quit or been let go over the last 6-12 months

Nothing is safe. I warned someone in cyber security in CA if they were impacted. Said never heard of the RTO to Dallas. Well the rest is history.

Absolutely NOTHING here is long term unfortunately outside of surplusing. The company ALWAYS pivots on choices sometimes midstream!

With how Stankey is going, nothing is safe from layoffs.
