Considering a role at the PNC where the base pays is same ( no pay increase). This role is in Corporate. Given there is no pay and not sure about how the bonuses and PNC looks like I was wondering if anyone has worked at both wells and PNC Bank and which one would they go for

I’d use the offer for leverage and say you won’t do it unless 20% (or 10% if you want to leave bad) raise goes with it. Expect much lower bonuses and pay increases slightly lower or same. They will eventually offshore as well due to competiveness.
I was the first comment however I want to add - if you stayed with WF this long why leave now ?
The time to leave was 2017 however WF is pretty obviously turning a corner …
RBs are looking at a lot of headwinds right now
I interviewed with PNC a few years ago, salary was a bit lower than WF but not bad. Plus, they were cool with remote (at least back then, not sure now). PTO was the same if I recall. Friend who worked there at the time said they were fine (he has since retired). Banking in general seems toxic, but they pay well and if you are semi competent you can go far. WF is a horrible place to work IMO, so almost anything would be better. I regret passing on the job. Good luck.
Depends on how much severance you have. Between severance, 60 day notice period and vacation I am clinging to, I’ll have roughly 14 months payout from Wells Fargo.
I’m gambling that when (not if) I get laid off, I will be able to find another job in those 14 months and let Wells Fargo keep paying me too.
If you have a lot of years in, moving to PNC, you are back at square one on severance. They’ve just had some layoffs.
It is a gamble all around.
However, PNC does not have the asset cap and consent decrees hampering them. I'd go with a firm with a strong market presence, growth, and respect for its clients and employees. By the way, Walmart benefits are better and cheaper than wells Fargo. Plus, bonuses are useless if layoffs are occurring and you are never certain of the future.
OP—-let us know what you end up doing! Good luck
Personally, after spending more than 2 decades in this garbage heap of a business I will never work for another financial company. They are outdated monoliths of a bygone era in corporate groupthink. The insane asylums of business.
I’ll work at CVS at this point.
OP here: yes one have one offer for now. I have also heard the bonuses are not great but the role seems more aligned with how I would like to go in career .
Is the pnc job a remote one? I heard their bonuses are not as good as wells.
I disagree with the one post about career development at wells though. If this is a big consideration it is tough to move around wells now without knowing the hiring manager.
OP-is PNC your only option??
Op here : I am in a speciality location . Have been finding hard to move internally due to location strategy .
Without the pay increase I would not - WF would have more internal growth opportunities than a regional bank and would have better services/tech than a regional bank could provide.
