Optum Advisory, Level 30, 14 years with the company. 2 weeks notice while working an Optum Insight contract. I was hoping I wouldn't ever post on here, but there you have it. On to greener pastures!
Entire team was termed effective 5/2. Clinical Performance Pillar. Sad day at Optum today.
Lots of people in Optum OG Adv Strategy were let go this afternoon. 10% of the division was let go.

Curious what area of tech. I am in tech and have seen nothing here.
99% certain my manager called an audible to save her friend and the teams most tenured and highest paid employee so I got laid off. Not sure how it saves money to cut the lowest paid person on the team.

What are the acronyms? Assuming CC is Care Coordinator? SOM - Service Operations Manager? PRL? AMD (Associate Medical Director)? OOM? HSMs/NCMs ?

Layoffs today in my (now old) dept multiple leads and sup. 5/2 end date & than severance pay. Brought on offshore to do our jobs.
All CC supervisors, SOMs, HCAs, some pod leads and RMDs let go in NE market. I am sure we will get more info tomorrow at a morning brain effing meeting.
From what I gather, it’s about 1/3 per department. Optum wide. With more to come in LM/OHA over the next couple months

I got the axe. Me and another supervisor in provider services. Feel like they’re letting anyone with any experience and anyone living in Washington state who’s remote go. Feel like I wasted 4 years of my life.
The cuts seem so random- Only 2 of our AMDs, All of the ambassadors, the OOM, haven't heard about the CC leads yet. Any HSMs/NCMs terms in any of the markets yet?

Unless you're under some contract that states they won't lay you off, it is not illegal. This country is 'at-will' which means either party can terminate. Since they seem to be just laying off people and deleting roles or downsizing roles, there isn't much you can do about it except don't log in again, freshen your resume, and ask good leaders if they'll be a reference for you. Good luck all.

L30 Product in OI. 11 weeks severance plus PTO. Kind of a relief, really. High optempo plus disorganization across the board made Optum function like a startup. Good luck everyone!
Healthcare ambassadors have been eliminated
From Optum tech and I got a meeting sent by my VP who hasn’t ever set up a meeting with me. 10 mins of a script they read off of, had no answers to questions I asked and didn’t give af to help me get them except pointing me to the generic employee center phone number. Severance is meager and you can look it up easily based on your grade and years of service. Good luck everyone.
Let’s look at this as a blessing in disguise. The universe is always looking out for us.

The company doesn't really care who's productive in their role. They just look at raw numbers and how much they can save by cutting that salary. I guess layoffs are a good time to be underpaid for a grade level.
They just hamstringed our team by laying off our two most knowledgeable members. What are they thinking?!?!

I just looked into the severance policy for people asking about it. It is based on your pay grade and years of service, so it will vary among people who were laid off.
