Post here if you've received the axe or know others who have. Let's see if we can get a general sense of how deep this cut is and which teams were affected. Good luck everyone!

What does CHA stand for? As in CHA manager?
I was let go. 3 years at Landmark, only the last year and a quarter as a pod leader. But they didn’t cut all pod leads. Someone hired after me was not let go. So, they did decide based on more than seniority. If you were seen as more valuable, then you were spared. What valuable means is how fast you can run around the hamster cage with a smile on your face
Landmark case manager here. Any word on nursing jobs? We keep being told we are safe but I don't trust anything anymore...
At Landmark Health, it was not Health Service Coords. Read the post below about who got let go.
It was *mostly Pay Grades 25+.
Another cut is happening in July with mid level management health care delivery roles:
CHA Managers, etc.
Anyone know if home health coordinators were affected?
This is straight from the source: Almost 500 Landmark cuts happened. Started at 8:30 am CST today. Ex Directors, Sen Op Mgrs, Ambassadors, Care Coord Supers, NCM Directors ,Select AMD’s, and Select Physicians. All roles will get re-directed to new direct reports and will eventually get the workload from those that got cut. Markets will become much larger. Most likely when more staff finds out about the cut, and the workloads become exposed, there will be a significant exodus from Landmark.
Earlier in the week, names of numerous positions got changed which incorporated the names of positions that were cut.
Take a look for yourself when you login at Landmark Home tomorrow at work.
And yes, CHA Managers are set to go next.
This is a disaster for Landmark. They recently increased metrics and then this. Achieving these metrics is now impossible. Bonuses will be affected. Mass exodus of loyal employees predicted. FU OPTUM
In SCC I heard they laid of 5 business VPs, all the Senior CSM, several CSMs for restructured being offered to move to a different division ((Home based care), Lots of PER/PARs.
Someone in Florida told us all the IESNP programs are going away except 4 states. Their VP and DCO are horrible every time someone talks about them.
CHA Managers are next in July. I overheard things that should had been muted by a VP in the zoom call.
If you’re in provider services and made the cut. Start looking now, you’re next.
20-35% workforce reduction happened today.
There won’t be any more layoffs tomorrow. UHG only ever does them on Thursdays. Human Capital has a whole protocol.
Does anyone know if any HouseCalls practitioners were laid off?
Wait...down below someone said more layoffs tomorrow??!? Is this true?
We were acquired by Optum and just integrated the beginning of this year, and have been affected by the layoff today. The company is navihealth, under Optum Health. Care coordinators in the home health side, directors, team managers, and provider relations affected, VP fired too. Not sure if CSOCs (Central Support coordinators) were affected, i haven’t heard anything.
More layoff are coming tomorrow. The people who didn’t get laid off were told there is more restructuring to do and they will discuss how they are moving forward on Monday.
Curious if everyone was from companies acquired by Optum or direct hires?
Does anyone know if this is it for layoffs until September or will there be more in the coming days?
Layoffs will continue until morale improves.
Long term Optum employee. Fortunately looks like I escaped, I am patient facing so that likely saved me. Clinical manager and facility/physician support staff let go in AZ.
Amazing how we had a company wide town hall with witty and 3 Optum senior executives on Tuesday glowing about our earnings report, stock shot up $26 on that news to shareholders on Tuesday. Then 48 hours later the bo-m comes. Shady, unethical. Two pronged from my knowledge, decreasing
Medicare reimbursement and pending DOJ investigation that was officially announced on 2/24/24. They know they are likely facing $100’s of millions in fines so they are getting ahead of it
Yep got the news, devastated.
If you were laid off, had you recently filed under FMLA (family medical leave act) or incurred significant health expenses?
Don’t forget to complete your CLL sorts.
Does anyone know if this is it for layoffs until September or will there be more in the coming days?
Optum tech G27 remote worker. Too far from office.
Look.. I’m not mad I was laid off. I was basically doing like 10 audits per day and letting my coworkers do the work for me. Easiest job and money ever made. Sometimes I would even use my mouse jiggler and go out grocery shopping. Boring job. Nothing personal.
Which Clinical Performance pillars were affected?
They seem to be axing the most well-paid, highly qualified folks. Bigger paychecks, bigger savings for Optum.
Lost a couple Directors in Home & Community Care Services that I know of.
Good riddance!
I was RIFed in February. Today, in HBMC alone, three leadership positions were eliminated across the country. AMD positions were eliminated, Senior Operations Managers and CC Sups were also eliminated. Divisional outreach people were laid off. Rumor is that IT took a major hit, as well, but I can't confirm that. Some are getting severance, some not. It's a bloodbath. I'll be interested to find out what else they've done outside of HBMC.
NYS is merging with several Northeast Markets into “regions”. There are definitely more lay offs coming for Landmark employees. The Landmark name is sunsetting in 2026.
Anyone know if CSOCs will be layed off
Anyone here affected that are engineers?
Post from TheLayoff.com
What state r u from and merging to which ones?
I was told by someone that Optum was axing a ton to GL30's today. Comes from the top. You are just a number, there is no loyalty from this company. Happening again in July and then in November from this same grouping - even though UHG as a whole is laying off every single month... I wish I had followed my gut and looked for a job when I still had one, it took me a long time to find something new. Many companies discriminate against laid-off employees. :( I thought I was relatively safe since I was a great dedicated employee and had a great working relationship with my supervisor. What doesn't help is when they get axed too - ha!
Glad they cut the fat. Especially on the OHBS side. Some of you were relying way too much on offshore’s cheap labor while you took PTO several times per week.
Here from Landmark/HBMC and curious about the shared services teams. ESP. Health services, QPET?
Maybe everyone at Optum should just walk out... Let Witty and others tend to members and patients.
I'm a few weeks ahead of this round as my entire division was dismantled and part of the 3/21 announcement, effective 4/4.
Just received word from a previous past colleague that she and at least five others she knows about so far from her team were cut in the Optum Network/Credentialing/Provider space.
AMDs (Associate Medical Director), Associate Medical Director of Clin Ops (HSM’s managers) CC Supervisors and their Manager, and Ambassadors were all laid off today. This is horrible and a huge blow to our market. Apparently our market is joining several others in the state. Everything is being changed and no one is safe.
