All I can say, it’s a good thing we delayed production of 600,000 of these boat anchors until this year (not happening this year, either), and it’s not a good thing we are spending lots of extra money to park them in lots all over the place with extra security expenses for additional “quality checks.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. What is Model e doing these days, twiddling their thumbs or selling Alexandra’s t-shirts online? They are claiming full year guidance is on track, but Q1 is likely not good.
From the Freep, which avoids bad Ford news:
“Ford has confirmed that the automaker is cutting the prices of most versions of its all-electric 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning.”
From FordAuthority:
“While Lincoln inventory finished 2023 at one of the highest levels of any automotive brand – more than double the national average, in fact – Ford F-150 Lightning inventory grew from 3,200 units in August to 13,000 at the end of December. At the same time, the average MSRP of F-150 Lightning pickups was roughly $74,000 at the end of the month and year, compared to a hefty $80,000 plus an $8,000 premium in December 2022.”
From Lightning owners:
“This means that Ford lost around $36,000 for every electric vehicle it sold in the quarter, surpassing its estimated $32,350 loss per EV in the second quarter. “
