Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

It has to get better, right?

Across the board it seems everyone is feeling it. What is wrong with this company? I know at least on our segment, the president and his HR lackey are driving the business into the ground, unaware that everyone is laughing at them. They keep pushing for engagement and then they lay a bunch of people off, promise there are no more changes but then within 6 months it happens all over again. Then they push this leadin30 cr-p and 85-95-100 corporate BS - no one takes it seriously or they’re all just nodding their heads to not get fired. Do they actually think people are going to stay when at any moment we can get canned? It has to get better right? There’s no way this lasts beyond the year….

I would suspect a guess that even though the upper ceos are very good at what they do, you can be a jack of all trades and a master of none. We diversified the company portfolio by earning money to be spent buying up competition or merging with competitors. The idea of diversity in your portfolio was a good thing. Diversity is becoming a big problem. But because there is such a money grab at the top, they are not focusing on doing what is right, they are only focusing on the money being shoved into their pockets. The CEOs and board members know a storm is coming. They see what happened to Boeing. I am greatly insulted by the fact the shareholders/board members are asking us to vote to protect their personal assets. This tells me the executives are too lazy to set up trusts and LLCs for their own personal money. Wake up people, they know something is coming. Give them the middle finger and vote for transparency in lobbying and against the company protecting the executives personally from lawsuits. We take annual training that says if we sc--w up bad enough we can be held accountable financially….then so should they. Vote against their scheme.

Serves you right for staying with the company. What did you think was going to happen? This downward spiral has been going on for a while now. Did you really think you were so special that you would be immune to this? Well, get over yourself snowflake. Get off your butt and get out of there . Anyone who has the opportunity to leave and doesn't take it is an id--t. Unless of course you are one of the many who lied there way into a job they're not qualified for. If you are, then pinch your nose and hold your breath. You're going under. When your job finally ends, embrace the poverty coming your way.

The drive for expansion into new businesses was done recklessly. L3Harris had blundered into businesses it knows nothing about. Then, replaced seasoned leadership with feckless talking heads. The result has been a dysfunctional organization that can only generate value for its' investors by taking things away from customers and employees. Clearly, employee satisfaction is not a true goal but rather the appearance of it. Employees that voice genuine concerns are professionally ostracized by being passed over or just plain let go. Censorship, bullying and identity hiring smacks of socialism. Given the recently minted grads that are taking over the company, this should come as no surprise. Fortunately, there are still some defense contractors that put the warfighter first. But sadly, this company is not one of them.

The talented work force could make great profit for the Waco site, but is very poorly managed. Way to much overhead management.

I would just acknowledge it su-ks and I feel bad for the ones let go but they surely had to know their division/sector was not making money, had too many people not doing anything or people charging overhead. It's just business.
