Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Dropping Like Flies

T-Mobile is purposely making dramatic structural changes with its so-called Area model to drive people to quitting so they don’t have to perform more layoffs. Great way to reduce headcount, but the good employees are the ones who are leaving! The slugs that remain are either former Sprint losers or those who were never an asset to the company. Still, there are valuable employees remaining who are forced to do more work while those slugs continue to bleed the company dry. DEI is still in place, keeping “leaders” who keep their job based solely on their DEI status, with ZERO qualifications. What a shame that the company has gone down this road. It won’t be long until it’s Sprint 2.0 with the bulk of the company being contractors and a top-heavy management team that will lead to failure and a likely acquisition. Good luck to those decent employees who remain for whatever time you may have left.

It’s interesting that only people of the pure American race are anointed to leadership positions.

Man o man the racism in these comments are wild. How many POC are on the STL? People complaining about DEI when certain people aren't promoted passed a certain point.

So it was okay when white males were hired on over minorities (including women) simply because they were white and males. I am 60 years old and my parents had to sit in the back of the bus and were allowed to work only certain jobs. So it was okay for your parents to have the upper hand over mine. But now the the tables are turned, you people are losing your ever loving minds. The difference is, whether you choose to believe it or not, is that the minority that may be chose over the white person is just as qualified or more than the white person. So, quit blaming minorities for your own shortcomings. Believe it or not, there are minorities that are more qualified than you!

Only losers who have no confidence in their own skills blame DEI on others having a job or feel threatened by DEI. You are also not smart enough to know that policies like this have been around for literally decades. Companies are just putting a formal name to it to try to prove to the world that they do not discriminate based on race or gender. So please just stop with the DEI talk. If you are a valued employee, you will not be let go. If you are let go, blame the person in the mirror, not the minority who still works for the company that is obviously more qualified than you if they did not get laid off!

Clueless has attached the correct moniker to themself as they don’t have a clue. The former Sprint employees are a scourge and should be eradicated like roaches infesting a house. All they do is degrade a once great company by forcing their ideas and ineffective plans on the company to mirror their failed mothership, Sprint. T-Mobile should have bought Sprint and dumped every one of their employees from the start. There is only one commonality between T-Mobiles degradation and the Sprint buyout, and that is the worthless employees. The only ones who disagree with this premise are those Sprint leeches who are bleeding T-Mobile dry. Don’t believe it? Then perhaps you haven’t been privy to seeing the ridiculous salaries that those Sprint leeches were allowed to keep when they transitioned to T-Mobile. Of course, those same people are happy as they got a free ride on T-Mobile.

Funny how TMO bought Sprint and 99.99% of upper management is from TMO but all the problems are due to Sprint employees 🙄

I honestly don't want anyone to lose their job. But it's crazy to see certain a certain group complaining so much about the same things minorities complained about for years and were told didn't exist. It seems that you people don't like being treated like a minority.

If you just go to work and do your job and worry about yourself and not everyone else you will be less stressed out. Stop worrying about the DEI group and worry about the customer. Just except that everyone is different but that doesn’t make them less. If you are chosen for a layoff then accept your payout for your time and silently fade away. God is good and will provide for you when needed, good luck everyone.

DE&I is the worst thing that’s happened to T-Mobile!!! Hire me because of my color vs my qualifications. Horrible!!

DEI in the call center I’m in located in has been out of control for years. Total preference given to those that are LGBTQ or any race other than white, unless you are a single mom then they will include you to. Company is a total joke at this point and doesn’t care to promote based on actual job qualifications.

I’m exhausted with all the DEI stuff here. Let’s focus on hiring the right people for the job instead of labeling them as “women leader,” “underrepresented leaders,” or “black leaders.” T-Mobile seems to have overboard with DEI - We’re promoting unqualified “latinas” as leaders and hiring “black” leaders who were clueless. Enough with this madness. Hire and promote the RIGHT person, Dana and Mike S.

Yes. Power back in OP. Where they can get everything ready to sell the remainder of what they've destroyed. Just like before.

DEI is a means to promote unqualified people to higher level positions based on their race, s-xual orientation, or other inconsequential factors. Very similar to affirmative action that was used in the military to promote unqualified individuals using the same basis for promotions, DEI is just another way for people who can't even flip a burger to move into high-level positions to destroy companies like T-Mobile.

T-Mobile is full of leaders and people who don’t work for a living but rather use DE&I to advance aside from traditional politics! Horrible company to work at..

DEI will eventually be DOA because it's racist and no good for a sensible society. The Sprint takeover is something else and by design. Tmobile is being setup to be acquired. Acquisitions lead to d-mb leaders being fired. A perfect plan.
