Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

US salaries are falling. Employers say compensation is just 'resetting'

The mass US layoffs of the past few years are continuing. In 2024 alone, thousands of workers across many sectors, including media and technology, have lost their jobs and are on the hunt for new ones. But some are finding an unwelcome surprise as they scan listings for open roles. A salary bump is all but impossible; in many cases, wages seem lower than their previous pay – even for the same jobs.

They aren't imagining things. A 2023 report on pay trends from ZipRecruiter showed 48% of 2,000 US companies surveyed lowered pay for certain roles.

Y seems to think salaries are rising… at least in Dallas. No way that place is truly N3. Laughable.

The globalists have long sought (& made quite the gains) to eliminate the “middle class”. As was accurately posted below, these oligarchs seek a 90-95% peasant class ruled by their 5-10% elitist overlords. Couple that with the continued advancement of their eugenics agenda (to “cull the herd”).

“Great” resetting.
You’ll own nothing and be happy.
Please pass the bugs.

It seems like salaries at AT&T have been "resetting" way longer than that article talks about. Any salary model like the one at AT&T where your compensation is based on getting you to some fictional midpoint and you are penalized with salary increases once you are there is bound to harbor a "it doesn't matter what I do anymore" attitude. And that's especially clear at the top.

Nothing like following instead of leading.

Global GDP per Capita is about $19k per year. If you make more than that, globalism is not going to end well for you.

The goal of the global elitist, workers compete to the lowest wages and benefits world-wide. Robber Barons and the Lords vs Serfs era is back, next up is one world government and courts that have meaningful impact everywhere. They will be enforced vs the current systems that just make rulings that can’t or aren’t usually enforced due to sovereignty of individual countries.

And job growth continues to rise nicely in India. Maybe it is all the jobs the Stink sent to India while wacking US citizens? The greatest problem of the US is underemployment... in India!
