Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

I looked inside the window amd saw

a group of managers in Card team showing a presentation based on employee feedback showing a revolt by employees over stack rankings and PIPs, wrongful termination, return to office, low pay, and anxiety over firings. In fact, I took a photo of the slide that showed managers with their faces on the zoom call.

@bstf+1rppQeWI I like your comment -
"I’ve never seen a department, specifically for it being “fraud protection,” break more Regulatory Compliance laws in my entire career. "

They hired people experienced in fraud for that department - mmmm committing fraud, that is. Or at least have no moral issues with "helping" the company.

Most of their leaders are exalted ex-Cognizant folks. They are here for the grift. Don't expect anything better from them.

The below response sounds like the department I left! “We value your feedback and have an open door policy.” expresses concerns and specific feedback with examples “You’re being too negative, here take a CDC class and read a book.”

Any chance you’re in the Fraud Department? I’ve never seen a department, specifically for it being “fraud protection,” break more Regulatory Compliance laws in my entire career. And I had worked in multiple departments. Capital One customers should have ZERO CONFIDENCE in their personal information being protected. I don’t understand how they’ve not been audited for their failed fraud protection policies.

Good. I work in card and our LOB is so far f###d it’s not even funny. We’re being scared into not taking time off, told we’re not understaffed but have back to back calls almost every single day, getting coached for being “negative” when we express valid concerns about our jobs… I’ve never hated a job so much. But I’m stuck because of the pay. Let them fire me.

I take what was witnessed as a sign they are becoming more aware and dialing in on what the All Associate Survey results are saying. I would be more concerned if they didn’t acknowledge there are underlying issues impacting morale across the whole company.

All by design. The company does not want long term employees, aside from the chosen few who su-k up the right way, most who are worthless. I was charged with building a team for a big project. I hired folks who reported to me that I felt would be right for the project. The people I hired, were paid MORE than I was making AND I had been at the company for 20 years. I discussed this with my Sr Director and was told that I had been there so long that it was just the way things were. THAT my friends is how this place operates.
