Looks like May 14th will be a large hit at Wells Fargo. Rumor has it that the notification to workers will be this coming Monday. Zero talk of Severance yet.

If u get laid off u get severance but if u get fired u don’t!
they don't cut everyone off -- some people are still needed to train team mates or otherwise. not everyone would crater the place.

It does in some groups. In my area employees often get notified 6 months or more in advance of their formal notification date. The company doesn't do this out of the goodness of their hearts, there's no avoiding 'word getting out' because the work is to be contracted and the handover process takes a significant amount of work from both sides. It's not the norm, but in breaking news, not all groups are treated the same during layoffs.
Wells Fargo doesn’t operate like this. Your notice is the 60 day non working period.
