Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Laid off and rehired?

Anyone ever get laid off and rehired?

What was your experience like in applying? Were you able to do it in time to keep your tenure?

Do they even re-hire people? I don’t think I’ve known anyone personally to be laid off and come back now that I think of it?

Anyone have any idea if you get laid off and then rehired if you can collect your bonus? I got sc--wed on the 401K match that I earned for 9 months (laid off 10.1.24) but will most have an offer by the end of Christmas back at Wells with a January start date. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this - I will as HR once I get an offer - but sometimes they are not to be trusted...

I've been gone for a few years now, check in here now and then for old times sake.

Been offered jobs at WF twice in the last few years, my old job, don't know if I'd have gotten the job, politely said Oh Haaaaaiiiiilllll No both times.

But if I really, really needed a paycheck....funny how bills and housing and food will help you get past your moral values.

If you worked in CCAR, you'll be blacklisted.

laid off in 2015 and re-hired back in 2016. There is a 6 month period where you retain your years of service in terms of PTO days, etc. If re-hired after 6 months you have to start back at 0.

Knew someone laid off last March, took summer off and rehired in different org with an increase in comp.

Why would you want to come back here?

I know someone who has been let go twice and been rehired both times with a couple of months. The star program is no longer in effect. New policy, once gone, stay gone!

I don’t believe you ever worked here if you’re asking this question.

Advice: Don't come back.

You have six months from the day your 60 day notice ends to be re-hired with no gap to your tenure/ corp hire date. I was re-hired and started my new job six weeks into my severance period. (Keep in mind your severance ends the day you start a new WF position,)

Yeah, that rarely happens anymore. WF wants people GONE. That's the reason they got rid of long-standing STAR program, too.

Don't hold out hope for returning unless you know AI or something.

I was hired back, LO 4/21 your clock starts after the 60 day notice. Then yah I think it’s 6 mos. I started the day after my severance ended and it’s been seamless. I have a lot of friends in mortgage I was laid off with who are back.

I have. back in the day, if you could get rehired within6 months, you kept ALL your seniority. I did. (well, this was back in 2001).
