Senior leaders visiting Oregon again?

I just saw where leaders have another trip to Salem and Hillsboro during the week of March 13th. What could this visit possibly be about now?

So far these little get together are voluntary. People really need to stop going. You have actual work to do, focus on that and silently flip the bird to these hack executives.

All senior leaders have to visit all of their sites multiple times per year starting this year. Regardless if closing or not. So yes it’s silly and a waste of money but it all part of the “Leaders On Site” initiative.

Now-could they be laying people off also? Could be, but they announce they’re coming (which doesn’t normally happen) and share it’s due to Leaders On Site initiative…

In my mind the 2-4 years narrative is being used as one of those corporate platitudes. They would come in and layoff everyone and then say "Well the 2-4 years plan was more of a guideline, sorry not sorry".

I've experienced the consequences of their doublespeak and lies several times over the years at our site. I don't trust anything senior leadership says anymore.

I heard the last time they were here they were really pushing the 2-4 years for site closure narrative. Personally I don’t think that’s true but I doubt their answer is ever going to change on that, even if we are all laid off in OR tomorrow.

I have heard rumors going around from coworkers I trust that Hillsboro may close as early as June this year. I don't usually believe rumors, but so far every rumor I've heard about our site has turned out to be true.

They’ve already come once to say it’s not a hub and they will be exiting. Why are they coming so soon again?

That's a lot of sites that aren't on any LOBs list of hubs. Not a good sign.

No. It just listened where they are going. Next week, Homewood and Lubbock. Then a couple sites in California and Colorado. Then the last place is Hillsboro and Salem the week of March 13th.
