Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

If you're in Winston Salem..

If you're in Winston and roll up to Tracy, expect an email next Tuesday about the location strategy and displacement. Some will be offered relocation, most won't.

Stop being lazy and look it up for yourself in the benefits book yourself.

Can anyone comment on the severance package they will be giving? I thought it was based on years of service etc but I don't know the details.

Not fear mongering at all, we’re seeing it happen. Not a whole lot of us Tech people left in Winston, but those of us that are aren’t blind.

I know people who are supposed to move into WEC next month, on the P1 floor, but they don't roll up to TK. I suppose tech can rid the building anytime they want but was hoping for next summer.

"Put people in WEC with all the old cubes from remodeled buildings. Equivalent to lipstick on a pig."

You're completely missing the point, but I guess at least you got your snark in.

“A fully occupied space looks more attractive” — Put people in WEC with all the old cubes from remodeled buildings. Equivalent to lipstick on a pig.

"the writing's on the (newly painted for some reason) wall"

There's a theory that RTO, aside from creating attrition, is meant to drive up headcounts in properties prior to their being sold. A fully occupied space looks more attractive to buyers than a comparatively empty one.

It's not looking good for W-S, no doubt. It's all BS. A very large majority won't be allowed to work in Charlotte instead, which is just another reminder that it's not a location strategy at all.

This is true, as I had to displace 8 people in Winston yesterday. The site will be closing in 2025.

It will be to all of Tech enforcing the existing location strategy.

Will this be specific to Winston or a general email to all under TK? Thanks. Looking forward to any info.

Wish TK would leave suddenly. She likes her paycheck too much and will do nothing to jeopardize it. If Chuckles says Cut she will say how deep. You all complain about India, look at the person who is sending the jobs there. Maybe some signs in her front yard might send a message.

I am sure TK will do another LinkedIn post about her lemon tree as soon as she sends the email. She is seriously the worst person to lead Tech and I am saying this as a woman!

Well, the lease on WEC is up Sep 2025 and it has to be empty of people to be turned over to the owner by May 2025, so the writing's on the (newly painted for some reason) wall.
