Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

So we are going full India huh

No I’m not new here but I haven’t checked workday in a while. I have a couple risk related jobs earmarked just in case and to my surprise nearly all Control and ITV postings are based out of India. What jobs are safe from Indian outsourcing? Are we headed to a world like manufacturing where the only jobs here are customer facing roles?

If we have any hope of preserving this country, we have to do something about this. We are literally throwing money out of the economy.

Let's not vote for any politicians who encourage offshoring strategy.

Many of our off shore resources are compromised on a weekly basis. We’ve reported the trend to management. They don’t care.

Sincerely CSDM.

@4kom+1rarxPAv, that's a good point. After all, her family is all Indian, she might push for more offshoring to India. I was originally going to vote for her because she seemed a good candidate, but now I think I will vote for someone else from an independent party.

I didn't mean to bring politics here, but I was thinking... if someone like Nikki Haley gets elected for the next US President, will she push for more business outsourcing to India?

Risk and governance jobs sent to India… what could possibly go wrong? Sarcasm there.

Feel like that should be illegal. That is a risk itself

Let's all chip in and hire a top tier PR firm to pitch a major expose story on how WF and other banks are moving sensitive and critical parts of the US banking system offshore.

One guy is going to make 35 million?! When we as a whole, run this bank? Giving this bank to India is a very total sh-t show, crazy idea and will run it into the ground!

No CEO in this country of USA should give our jobs away to India,
Period!

They make 20,000 more than what we make and we’re running this bank so let’s try to figure this out, OK guys?

I’ll give the no BS scoop of my experience with India employees.

Some are great.
Some are ok.
Some su-k.

Just like US employees.

If what happened a few weeks back in India didn’t catch the executives’ eyes on security issues with offshoring to India, then nothing will.

For those of you who are saying mean things about Indians or blaming India for the outsourcing, remember they did not make the decisions to send jobs overseas. Those decisions were made by white Americans at WF. TK, CHuckles and others. So if you want to throw blame, then blame the white Americans but not the Indians who just happen to offer a solution. If it wasn’t them, it would be the Phillpeans, or Irish, or South American… but all would have the same denominator . White American executives and managers. So F the Smiths….

80% of items sold in walmart or amazon is not made in America. So what are you trying to say here . They made goods for us first and now they get our jobs. Hope for a full cycle return some point in the future.

There was a post earlier about India and its connections to Russia. Why on earth was it removed? It's true!

This morning I checked the postings for Strategy and Execution. There were 136 postings but only 34 available for US hire and for Governance and Control there were 121 opening and only 16 available for US hire.

I'd say jobs that are very close to the clients or those servicing the clients. Or those that meet with senior leadership constantly. If you're just running reports or something, I'd be looking over my shoulder

Cheapest labor is in africa places like congo or sudan. They can do this job that we are in for 10cents . Scott and Charlie can go there and explore. But they may not return back but the company can outsource there. India is going to be expensive and these fools are chasing the wrong horse

Charlie and his lackey’s in the C suite are complete failures. They have no original ideas to right the ship. Their only play is to artificially inflate the stock price via buybacks/layoffs to appease the shareholders and line their own pockets. They don’t care about this company or the employees. They are only here for short term gain before they move on to plunder the next sinking ship.
