Not directly related to layoffs, but an indicator that nothing will change. Interview of CEO on Bloomberg TV - Try to convince Wall Street that H is not a conglomerate but will spend $8 billion on acquisitions. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2024-03-19/honeywell-is-hunting-for-more-acquisitions-ceo-says-video

So Vimal views AI as a solution to skills shortages across the business. As someone who worked there for nearly 30 years I’ll give my take. I) give your current employees a cost of living pay rise each year when they do an acceptable job, ii) Appreciate and develop the employees that you currently have iii) restore the benefits that HW has gradually stripped away over the years. Iv) stop doing furloughs when the management over promise and under deliver. V) stop micromanaging employees, they know how do to their own job better than management, stop the nonsensical VOE survey and finally stop Riffing your most experienced and talented staff because C-suite want to make their bonus. There’s loads more I could write but I can’t be bothered….as no one takes any notice anyway.
What's the matter? Can't Honeywell develop anything organically? It certainly looks that way
Signals to me that he is going to make aggressive cuts at the end of the year to secure his bonus. He certainly ain't going to be increasing revenue any other way. Unfortunately for him DA has already stripped most of the business, still a few leftovers to go though. He will take his share before being swapped out for the next vampire.
More useless bile from a talking head, an empty suit.

Any IT layoffs in Des Plaines, IL (UOP)?
Really sad seeing this in the new today as a number of layoffs were quietly taking place Tues and Wed in IT. The ones I heard let go were all US based employees.
Such an uninspiring interview. He really isn’t convincing regarding his megatrend strategy. Never heard of green electrons - surely he means electricity but is trying to sound clever talking gibberish. The fact that the share price hasn’t increased during the recent run means others can see through him. He won’t last that long imho.
Wow, that interview just confirmed what I guess we knew already. It was painful. Suffice it to say I am glad I dumped all my stock last year.
It did feel that if Francine was not under orders she would have run absolute rings around him, that was at least funny!
Just more companies wrecked and lives ruined. Those looking to sell to Honeywell need to understand that what they have built and their personal legacy will be destroyed.
