Exactly this. I've been saying it since the beginning. Each "strategy" HY puts out isn't a strategy at all, it's a phase in their grand layoff strategy. Once all the survivors are bearded into hubs, the only change will be that layoffs become "a disease of the hubbed". Eventually they will start closing entire hubs because, gosh darn it, they continuously review their locations and business needs and your location just HAS to close as the company consolidates to become more efficient. On and on it will go. Eventually there will be NY, I&P, CIC, Chandler, and Dallas...and long term just NY and I&P. That's where they are going and all of us are in the chopping block. FHY.

He is full of cr-p. Took this long just to follow Saul’s lead. It’s time for Flowers to retire. Look at his leadership choices and the leadership turnover rates.

in terms of having a hard time finding work, I worry more for my Columbus and Sioux Falls colleagues than I do those looking for work in a major metro area.

These hubs are a placeholder. People in hubs may have jobs for now but leadership will start laying off more people as soon as RCSA phase 2, consent orders, and MRAs have completed. They will move at least a quarter of the jobs to India and then they will automate. If the job market were better, affected people would leave. I have spoken with many in risk and controls who have been looking for a long time.

What about Columbus, OH? Maybe we will get an exception since we support some business lines where this is an approved location

it means certain business aligned risk roles will continue to be co located with the front line business they oversee. so while these roles may not be in one of the listed locations, because the business line is in that location they will make an exception. nothing to do with being top or bottom of any layoff list. I'd say if you are in risk and you're not in one of the listed locations and are not in an approved location for one the business you support you should expect a layoff at worst or an opportunity to relocate at best.

“there is also a carve out for locations not listed but happen to be supporting a front like business in that location.”

Can you please explain what you mean by this statement? Does this mean those carved out locations are just put at the bottom of the list to get rid of, so they will still eventually get to them and displace everyone there?
Or is this a longer term or indefinite carve out kind of thing?

Charlotte and Des Moines are prime locations. Rich in talent and highly desirable cities to live and raise families.

This looks like the same as the Tech locations. And audit is following tech. Which means like 70% of the company will be in these locations?

It's almost like they try to find the most overpriced high crime S holes that they can.

Doesn’t matter if they are moving most jobs to India, no one is really safe no matter where you are..

It's basically telling anyone not in one of those locations that they will be laid off sometime within the next few years. You would need approval to relocate, so just arbitrarily moving wouldn't guarantee your job.

Non hub likely gets until end of year to relocate or they’ll be given severance. Speciality usually means hiring freeze/lack of promotional opportunities. They want you to leave but can’t afford fiscally and operationally to cut you. Core is safe for now but I’d imagine they’re having conversations with regulators around how Indian regulatory related functions can get

I think eventually they’ll get rid of speciality too. It’s just until they can figure out what to do with large groups of folks. Huh or non-hub if an Indian can your job, then you’ll likely get replaced.

So does this mean if you are currently in an office outside of the 6 core locations and 6 specialty locations that you will be displaced if you don’t voluntarily move?
