Been banking at Wells Fargo for 36 years and I have been pleased with their service. I hope the bank can emerge from their recent issues and renew their place in the community.

I was enrolled in 2 products without my knowledge. Did Wellfargo get payment for this. The payments they recieved should be sent to the victims of these ill gains. Wellfargo should not be allowed to keep any payments.

After finding charges on my account posted in the middle of the night by WF lucky for me I am a nighthawk and caught it within their tiny window of reporting. The charges were for restaurant and Uber Eats 1700 miles from me. Their CALL CENTER in INDIA got my call at 3am my time and told me they would look into it and it was lucky I caught it within their two day time limit. I had noticed for 6 months prior balances would change wildly from one day to the next when no transactions were taking place. I use the account for automatic bill pay mostly and that is within a one week time frame. I got paranoid and started taking screenshots three times a day. We have removed large amounts of cash now and put them in other options. My late father closed his safe deposit boxes where he had kept his extensive coin collection and collection of pricey Fiat money saying at the time he believed stuff was going to hit the fan and he did not trust banks to keep their mitts off his stash. That was in 2004. It's gotten far worse. Dad divided his collections between all of his children which was a good thing - otherwise the lawyers and fee bandits would have gotten much of his assets. He did keep a bank account in a small local bank and put rest in various tax free accounts plus some few stocks he preferred. But toward the end of his life he was getting nervous about stocks as well. A lot of his cash went into assets like land and lake property or investments in local efforts. Dad was a prepper before it was cool so he kept a stash of necessities and food as well. He died in 2020 at age 102 after a life well lived. Smart till the day he died.

No surprise here. This is typical, there is always scams and fraud happening so the banks can make more money. You can't trust anybody to be honest when it comes to lining their pockets.

Reliance on third parties, without appropriate contracts and oversight, will be the death of this place if they don't get a handle on it. Many attempts have been made to overhaul the third party situation, but never seems to go far enough.

This is true. I was enrolled in an add-on and I am not even a WF credit card customer. I was told:
it was not WF that enrolled me without my knowledge/consent. It was the third party. WF identified this in Q4 2023 and severed relationship with the third party and is now conducting a remediation to make impacted “customers” whole again.
