Imagine escaping Honeywell to move to a great company only then to discover just a year or so later Honeywell has bought them. I know someone this has recently happened to...totally gutted :(

The company I spent a decade with and saw become top of it's market was annihilated within 2 years when Honeywell bought them. Our management was maneuvered out and replaced with the most inept bunch imaginable, our R&D got zapped, tried and tested marketing strategy in the bin and our best people gone. They then wondered why the business started failing. I had no idea it would be so bad, all that hard work so quickly destroyed.
I am not a 9-5, money on the table man, I need to love my work and be enabled to do it at my best ability so I quit. So sad and the thought of it ever happening again would terrify me!
That is very scary, luckily I joined a much larger company and hoping HW does not have the money to acquire
Well at least you know what to expect and how to confirm the severance package and volunteer for the first or second round of RIFs before it really gets bad!!! At round 10,15,20 it’s really painful
Lots of employees who were fed up with the lach of innovation joined Carrier. They are not so pleased that will be part of this destructive company again.

RAE once had a great reputation but Honeywell destroyed that, BW too.
I despise modern Honeywell, if you have professionalism or integrity this is the worst place to be.
Sperry was destroyed by the current Honeywell. What a shame! Pioneers of aviation and aerospace reduced to profit mongering zombies!

Wow, all of you folks are nothing but complainers, I don't hear anything positive from this site regarding Honeywell. Honeywell is one of the great companies in America, ALL of you folks are either lazy, have extreme low self esteem, entitled in attitude or economically stupid, which is it? Most of you are just plain BAD employees no matter what company you work for, you will always complain like little girls and boys on a playground.
Honeywell believes the business model of acquisitions instead of R&D is the way forward.
Honeywell will not make into the next decade.
Worked for Honeywell when it was the original Honeywell, corporate office in Minneapolis. It's Allied Signal that destroyed Honeywell's name and brand.
@1nnr+1rAdYWAr Carrier is only selling the 'Global Access Solutions' business to Honeywell but yes I would not like to be part of that business right now. Future forward Carrier clearly see something that Honeywell have not.They got a good price for it too.
The history of destruction across all GBE's is shocking. I see Carrier is about to be added to that list.
What HW did to ComDev is a travesty to the business. HW ruined a once proud successful company. The few that remain are zombie bots motivated by $$$ only. People mean absolutely nothing to the Zombies.
The shyde and the garbage that dominate the executive and managerial ranks guarantees failure.
Many at the former Com Dev in Cambridge Ontario were inflicted with this death march.
