The downtown branch of Wells Fargo is closing for a couple weeks because they do not have enough staff to run the bank. They should be reopening in a couple of weeks once they have hired enough staff. Possible job opportunity?

I am in Sioux Falls and after the location email my group had a teams meeting with our 2 up manager. The first thing she said was to update our resume, call our contacts, complete all training. She would not have addressed this first if the plan was 4 years from now. She knows the date and it’s my impression it will be within the year.

In 2 years they will have already moved on to the next excuse to term people in the US. "Location Strategy" will be old news, 50k domestic workers will be out of a job, and the A holes in HY will be eyeing the survivors in the way only a frequent visitor to Epstein Island can.

When we got that email we had a team meeting after. Pretty much about layoffs but didn't give alot of info regarding when. They think nothing will have until 2 years from now. Per the big guys interviews "bank needs to be more aggressive with layoffs in 2024." I asked my manager if the people coming has to do with layoffs. The response "there coming to see the building." So we got people coming from out if state just to look at it? Ya don't make sense. But I do believe managers don't get alot of info either. Also the email didn't state that it will start 2 years from now.

Which LOB leaders are visiting? ECR hasn’t heard a word about the site closing. Curious if it will be a specialty site or not. Especially since the head of customer remediation is located there.

No one should attend these meetings. The best way to tell these clowns to F off is to just ignore them. They're going to term you all either way, might as well demonstrate your disgust now while you still can.

@1tzr they might have but they did not realize it’s the Casino Indians, not the convenience store Indians.

The entire site (Ops 4 building) is closing. The only thing that will be left in Sioux Falls is the bank branches.

Is this only for certain groups in Sioux Falls? Head of Remediations is in Sioux Falls and several other senior key leaders. Makes me think it will be a speciality site for some LOBs.

They will come to tell you that while they empathize with your situation, they will be closing your site. The 2-4 year timeframe is a company goal to be up and running in the hubs not how long you can expect to keep your jobs.

Did you not get the email on Monday? All of operations will be moved out of Sioux Falls in the next 2 to 4 years.
