We’ve been stripped and abandoned in a treacherous location with primitive tools. The waters are murky, the brush is barely penetrable and survival takes everything you’ve got. There is no protection from the elements and we are surrounded by dangerous predators, all while our producers are living in luxury in a grand lodge nearby and won’t even offer us a sandwich. I’ve watched my fellow brave survivalists be taken out against their will, and others have tapped out on their own. By Friday we’ve become chafed and feral - having survived exhaustion, humiliation and desperation while the vultures circle overhead. There is no prize for completing the challenge - the goal is simply to survive.
