Yes the illusion of delivering some shiny new object is better than delivering something of value. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a project that delivered real value get completely overlooked when some shiny cool new do nothing widget got all the glory and never launched.
People who mix up "then" and "than" are a joke. Maybe you make up the joke that AT&T is. Yes, leadership is a joke but so are you for remaining there for a paycheck. Your career is becoming a joke because of your mindset.
