AT&T lost focus when it started to micromanage everything. Every piece of a process is broken down to such small steps that no one has a clue how to complete anything. But gove me a dashboard so I can report how well my group is performing

It’s all about the generation of reports about the generation of reports about the generation of reports about the generation of reports about the generation of reports about the generation of reports… you get the picture.
Most managers spend their day tracking other managers tracking of managers and some craft folks. There isn’t much else to do.
Most T employees aren’t managed enough: There are still a ton of internal contacts I am unable to get a response from in the afternoon.
When I take time off, I now have to report it in 5 different places with only one being the time reporting system.
Micromanagement accomplishes nothing but trouble for those doing their job.
Have you read some of the posts on this forum? Micromanagement is needed with what a majority of the employees on here say they are doing.
Are you under the impression that micromanagement is a new phenomenon?
Sounds like you underperformed, didn't do much work and now require micromanagement.
The douche that came up with the idea to track green checks in opus needs to get out of his/her parents basement. Lets track a skewed number to begin with, one with inaccurate information to then in turn come up with a report that does nothing. Ya, that's where we are today. A dog chasing it's tail. And then lets sell services that do nothing for the company but ruin its reputation, htp.
And there's trackers tracking the trackers, who track other trackers. and none of their data matches.
