Here’s the deal I had to come to except sams club is just another company under pay and over work associates, they pride there self in sending club manager in that have no heart and get rid of the ones that do, the club I work at running under staffed and expecting more then ever, members can lie on you at any time and the associates that do a good job at kissing up only advance when hard working people who just do a great job and go home get looked over, I’ve worked for the company over a decade and watched this over and over again and with that being said it really no reason to continue to complain either deal with it are move on

i left after 30 years. Honestly it has not changed. In my early years home office seemed just a bit more empathetic toward the floor level associates in the field. But only just a bit. Home office actually forced the local managers to pretend to care about workers because they knew that workers who thought they were cared for would do more work for less money. There was money for monthly associate appreciation events. Sometimes it would be a pizza party or there would be drawing for 50 dollar bills. Real company picnics and real Christmas parties came every year. All of these nice things covered up an ever present evil. The Hearts of the Managers. While they all laughed with and and had fun with the workers , they ALL were laughing AT and MAKING fun of them behind their backs. Over time Home office's push to make sure the workers felt care for grew weak and weaker. This left a very thinly stretched veil of we care for our associates hanging tenuously between fantasy and reality. The fantasy being Sam's is a great place to work . The reality being that Sam's is a liquid hog manure pit in which those who work there are forced swim. Managers are the worst thing going at Sam's. Lying , cheating , misrepresenting and stealing to and from associates every day. No No don't do that. You were just thinking of that good one that's not like that. Maybe not to you but to others for sure and likely you too. Its always amused me the amount of time it would take for a new associate to see the real Sam's. 30 years ago it would take workers 3 solid years to see the truth behind the happy circus. Now it takes about 3 hours.
