I lead with Im an employee and don’t want nextup or insurance and have been slammed 5 consecutive times in a row. Somebody’s going to prison over this it’s too much money being stole.

This is interesting. I was in COR about 11 years ago, and while there was always pressure to cell, at least at our store, it was not normal to see reps slamming features, and if they did, they were not as shameless about it. After years with AT&T, as an employee and as a customer, I always thought and told everyone I know to make sure the store they go to is an actual Corporate location, and that authorized retailers will rip them off. Years later, my experience as a customer is completely different. We did some business at an authorized reseller, and there were no issues, but the next 2 times we went to a COR AT&T store, both times features were added to my account, even after I also told them I was an employee and didn't want them making ANY changes to my account. They just don't care.

Just heard a retail manager run in the office to an IHX manager and scream "This is the busiest time of the year and WE HAVE NOTHING!"

Sr. Leadership is tanking the 4th quarter sales on purpose. They don’t want to have to pay a bonus to management employees in March 2024. Trying to shake off more older employees. That’s why they made case payments to AVPs and VPs in the 3rd quarter. No bonus for L1 and L2!

The roadmap for COR stores has been clear for the last 5 years. Close and convert to Authorized Retail locations at 1/3rd the expense. Forcefully drive customers to engage online every single time. Retail is a dinosaur for T…..

Everyone is going to Verizon for free Apple and Samsung gear and Netflix and Max for an extra 10 spot.

It’s not a good sign. The large investors know about this.

Same here on inventory! We get very little at all! Will go about every 3 days and get a few boxes of stuff. Overall sad. And Yelp we have the foot traffic for sure! And we deal with our share of stuff bought online at ATT.COM issue/ Best Buy Walmart Sam etc

My question would be is there any foot traffic to sell to? Perhaps the lack of inventory is making a impact on the foot traffic but everyone I know buys online. Unless there is a problem with the SIM card it takes a few minutes to transfer data. Basically stores are now problem solvers if the automation doesn’t work properly and you don’t want to call in and get someone who doesn’t have a clue.

Crazy question...

You're in retail. You can sell anything you want. Why do you stay at AT&T if it's so horrible?

We haven’t received NO inventory? So, you DID receive inventory? I don’t understand your double negative.

This here PowerPoint deck that was built by a team of 15 marketing managers who all make $150K says that operating stores with no inventory is good for the online store experience. Because what customers really want is to drive to a store and then be told we need to order it online. BTW: All 15 marketing managers are off until January!
