This is a perfect example of Cigna shooting itself in the foot

2-3 years ago, the work culture was very different here at Cigna. The first shift in Cigna work culture that I noticed was when they gave us all a "Merit Bonus" which robbed everyone of a legitimate merit increase. This means most of us were all stagnate on our salary for 2 years. Then it was drive to 25, Opex reduction, future of work, quiet job eliminations, and now the sale of a whole line of business. We hear how well Cigna profit is after they really gutted us employees.

Lately, there has been a shift to prioritize profit at the expense of employees. You can't balm employees for feeling like this after witnessing Cigna and our executives continuously sc--w us over.

Perhaps all of these moves that Cigna is doing is to gain enough capital to buy Humana later. They are trying to get Cigna to run as lean and cheap as possible by cutting expense, selling Medicare, laying off employees, giving "standard" raises and bonus, and hiring needed staff offshore.

I was so hopeful he was on his way out but do you really think with a billion in profits they are getting rid of him?

The reason this is happening, all of it, is because David is on his way out the door. Do not be shocked if that happens sometime this year.

Cigna has made it crystal clear, They are trying to make as much money as possible quickly. David is making some bold moves because he's most likely out the door. He's trying his hardest to pad his and the shareholders pockets before he leaves. This is coming at the expense of Employee moral and Company reputation. David tries his hardest to put on a nice guy face while using nonsense cooperate jargon. He really is a Stone Cold cooperate shmuck.
