Considering how we're being treated by Cigna, it's only fair that we pay the company back in kind. That means don't do anything other than what you have to. No extra effort, no staying late, no doing tasks that are not part of your job description, and so on. What exactly are they going to do to punish you? Even if you're the best and most hardworking employee, you're not safe from layoffs. So give them the opposite.

This is a perfect example of Cigna shooting itself in the foot. 2-3 years ago, the work culture was very different here at Cigna. The first shift in Cigna work culture that I noticed was when they gave us all a "Merit Bonus" which robbed everyone of a legitimate merit increase. This means most of us were all stagnate on our salary for 2 years. Then it was drive to 25, Opex reduction, future of work, quiet job eliminations, and now the sale of a whole line of business. We hear how well Cigna profit is after they really gutted us employees.
Lately, there has been a shift to prioritize profit at the expense of employees. You can't balm employees for feeling like this after witnessing Cigna and our executives continuously sc--w us over.
Ha and then in a few weeks you'll be here whining "why did I get laid off"

Man, is that Tim M. replying? Lol
The lack of communication as to what is even going on is ridiculous. I feel like work is being slipped out from under us and moved elsewhere.
If Cigna can make a BILLION dollars in PROFIT in Q4 and still claim they need to let people go to increase operational efficiency, then I will decrease MY operational efficiency in protest :)
Sounds like HR is responding here…
Wow. I prefer to put passion into work, into serving others who NEED us and certain care accessibility to live. More importantly, it feels better to rest your head at the end of the day knowing you tried to do the right thing or gave it your all. It’s time to Find Your Why!
I am hearing, as we all are, HCSC is expecting us to deliver and appreciates your work! No guarantee you will have a job even if you do, but keep working hard!
That’s a bold move in this environment.
Let’s see how that works out for you.
Typically this would not be my approach to work. But I have to say this time around I agree. Since the announcement, my department has been working excessively due to massive amounts of work. They want us to work overtime and keep pushing this all hands on deck mentality. I understand that, there’s guidelines that have to be followed, but they stopped acting like a team the second they sold jobs without warning
