Are the ER (employee relations) reps trained to be jerks?

The newer ER reps are mostly from Lowe’s HR with maybe a high school diploma. There ya go!
Many ERCs who were really wonderful—smart, with years of experience—were laid off.
WF HR is a true cluster, period.

No. I have had great interaction with them and they were always pleasant to work with. It is more likely that you are the problem and you are just getting your attitude mirrored back to you.
They’re hired to protect the bank and not us so yes.

If you had to deal with the type of people who post on layoff forums all day wouldn’t you be in a bad mood too?
