Literally no one is safe. And not in the traditional sense of American capitalism, no, at WF you can never presume that the decisions made at the top are even good for the company's bottom line. Shart doesn't care about WF and never did. He's here to wind it down, and that's exactly what he's doing. Getting rid of the absolute max number of US workers is phase 1.
needs to be face to face customer facing or direct in-branch support. no phone customer work qualifies

You must not be customer facing in the traditional sense, which is what the company refers to.
